How to beat assassins as Nobushi

Literally played this game so much and can beat pretty much everyone apart from Orochi and Peacekeeper, sometimes Berserker. They just flood me with light attack spam and guard-breaks. I can't block the light attacks in time and they don't run out of stamina. Also Nobushi's guard-break counter feels non existent to other hero's.

I have the exact same problem. I think the problem in my case is that i have to play much more unpredictable. The nobushi invites to spam lights
but good assas will dodge/parry/ block all of it and punish you with gapcloser/lights and youll gonna die pretty fast. I think the key to beat good assas relies on your faint abilities. If you master enough faint combos u are unpredictable in time.

First thing to do is not to charge at them, and block their gap closer (top heavy for PK/zerg, left for orochi i belive) and dodge back (you have a combo for dodging back when you block something).
Try not to use light attacks , as they are relatively slow and easy to dodge+side attack for assasins, instead faint a heavy so they try to dodge/parry , parry it and punish them. If you manage to parry a light attack go for top heavy as it's guaranteed hit, if you manage to parry a heavy attack go for light attack to the side.

You can also try zone attack, this is tricky though since if they are too close they get a chance to deflect into free heavy, if they dodge normally though it will usually still hit them.

What this guy said and yes Oro's gap closer comes from the left though I've gotten into the habit of Hidden Stancing Oro gap closer because it's free poke if they commit.

Nobushi is all about being unpredictable while always maintaining a decent amount of distance between the two. Only exception is when the enemy is either low on health and on the defensive or tapped out on stamina, in which case Nobushi can be more aggressive and effectively become more unpredictable since guardbreak becomes a potential threat as well.

As others said, avoid using light attacks, especially on PK, and try to go for feinted heavys from all directions into kick if they don't laterally dodge it.
