So, I'd have liked another option: adaptive AI clothing. What I mean is if I cannot control how my AI looks, I would like for them to automatically change outfits to suit the area/locale. I know this might be asking for a helluva lot, but at least it would make SOME sense, since soldiers probably "dress themselves" .

This was going to be my exact answer. I don't care what they look like as long as they occasionally change outfits based on the area or whatever other reasons. Maybe after you open a loadout box or fast travel it will update. Or an "update AI loadout" option to do it on the fly if you want since you can edit your own weapons and outfits anytime anyway.

Even combined, it's 80:12. You could triple the number and they'd still lose if it came to a vote.
