Are you going to do something with lawbringer? It is impossible to play. He can't kill no tanks, no controllers, no murderers. They can kill only if the enemy is noob, not knowing how to use evasion.
Pros lawbringer: long shocks and All...! He has no more advantages! Yeah, he's got a shot but don't kid yourself! It is not relevant! From him any disabled person to Dodge!
Cons lawbringer very long attack, the awkward combination (for example, penetration+push when he throws, instead of just stop and make the enemy defenseless), long abilities: (other tested attack speed. I tried to hit the weak blow, and he this time managed to Dodge and hit me), no additional effects (such as bleeding, mill).
In General, what is it I wrote... Lawbringer cannot resist as equals who are equally matched opponent. Please do something about him! Do not have to raise the attack speed, make it extra effects! For example, what would "RAM" it was impossible to block, or increase the distance of the "throw through" in order to reach the enemy! Or at least bleeding to some attacks to attach!
I really liked the game itself, but the balance is upset. Please lawbringer class relevant and able to compete! Do not forget about your players!
Thank you for your attention.

Yeah, I gave him a whirl earlier. He feels incredibly slow, but doesn't have anything to really back that up. It feels entirely based around parrying the other guy, but you can't really do much when you do. He's not particularly tanky, he's not fast, and all of his 'specials' are laughably enough to avoid.

A guide for noobs like you
I don't profess to be a 'good' Lawbringer main but I do have one or two tips that might help you out in a fight, though of course these probably won't work at the highest levels of gameplay because I'm not sure the Lawbringer can stand among them without a very skilled hand at the rudder.
Also if you have tried what I suggest and find that it doesn't work for you then I apologise. The more I play the Lawbringer the more these simple tricks work for me.
1.) Simplest of them all, follow your shove with a light attack. It's an incredibly obvious thing that most players on this forum, I am sure, will ridicule and poke holes it however for the longest time I was convinced my best move was to try for the decisive hits on these attacks. Occasionally I would succeed, most often fail. I find this to be an unexpected and swift counter attack that usually puts and opponent hit by it on the back foot. It's as though they never expect to he hit by the Law.
2.) Focus on learning to parry. Not so you can use the unblockable overhead counter attack but because it helps with reducing your opponents stamina. Again it's incredibly simple and mundane but the trick to it is not to parry on the first hit of their combo but one of the later ones. Let them wear down against you before moving in for your punishes.
3.) Left and Right heavy strikes are great interrupts and cover distance you need to get inside the guard of some heroes.
4.) If you start chains I find it rarely valueable to finish them for their unblockable. The Light, Heavy, Heavy set of strikes is simple to initiate but predictable and likely will lead into a parry of the final attack and a loss of stamina. I much prefer surprising enemies with the Heavy, Light, Heavy combination.
5.) Don't be afraid to use Long Arm of the Law in Dominion or Elimination Matches to mess with the enemy teams placements. It's better to have one hero tangled up in a long animation than in that chaos swinging their swords or axes with abandon. In times like those think of the 'disabler' role you are supposed to have (which arguably you don't and the Valkyrie does better) and just focus on being a pin cushion for one or two people until you team can mop up and come to you.
Honestly the Lawbringer shines in 4v4 matches IMO with it's array of techniques and move sets but seems to be utterly lack lustre in 1v1 combat. It's a huge shame because in the betas I never felt like there were classes that my Conqueror couldn't beat in single combat, however with the Lawbringer Duel mode is relegated to a miserable experience due to the numbers of Assassin characters. I might get a few licks in or take a round for myself but it's rare to find an assassin (Orochi) who doesn't spam a series of moves that tear chunks out of my health if I miss one single guardbreak.
Dude do you even play Lawbringer or did you just read a synopsis of what his abilities are and make that postOriginally Posted by zesilo Go to original post
Lawbring ive seen in the right hands can be devastating, I myself have been praised for being a good lawbringer myself in online. But what exactly do you all thing makes someone a good lawbringer. In my experience on day one I was terrible. I played two hours in 1v1 before i got my first win. It took forever to learn how to play him what i consider proper. Even so my win rate by now is probably around 50 or 60 percent so i think im on the better end of things now. (not sure if thats good or not by the community. To play lawbring you need to be perfect in these two aspects... 1) Counter guard breaks - Now i know what some of you may think is that i5ts broken, And i, will completely agree that it needs fixing because its almost impossible to do so as it is not. My rate to do it is only 50% but half the time i feel it should be much higher. To get myself to break that much i actually took an hour angainst a bot from all classes to practice each guard break (thats an hour total not each). and even with so much practice it still fails me sometimes.... and 2nd 2)Parries - as a class specified as a counter attacker this is completely necessary. It comes into play a lot in getting what i like to call free damage. the up unblockable is only achiever after a full unblocked combo or immedietly after a parry. This last thing is really just tips on how to combo witht his class because like a lot of you i found this class really slow at first too but the fire break in this classes kit is the best attack that has the most combo use. Now it doesnt guarantee hits but it will mean they have to reposition their guard to defend. Now this can be used after doing one of three ways 1) dash forward or sideways and guard break to bash them - 2)a successful heavy attack (not blocked or parried) and 3) after blocking. now my recommendation is only play this class defensivle and im not joking. justdont engage unless its the only option or if you think you can catch the other off guard. the best use of the fire break if after blocking because after blocking and bashing you are unbreakable and cannot be stagger during the bash even if hit (except against shugoki its just a terrible idea - the passive unbreakable stance is busted and needs nerf). anyway after a bash countinue with1 of two things. 1) another heavy into another fire bash or 2) a heavy light, Heavy light heavy, or light heavy (use direction for confusion as any direction will work)after a combo stops or fails back out again and wait for another parry or block then continue to combo again. Never keep fight. just because you hit them does not mean it will be an infinite combo. this is even a great strat against faster class like orochi.
This is the main use of a lawbringer that took me days to learn. The BEST advice i can really give tho is practice the intial two things i said, counter guard breaks and parries.
PS counter guard break nerf coming soon so dont be discouraged
Also attack speed still needs some tweeking on the class as most combos even after blocking are EXTREMELY easy for some people to just stop you.
I currently main LawBringer. The first thing you have to understand going into playing LawBringer is you aren't S Tier at 1v1ing. That is not to say that LawBringer cant kick some *** in 1v1s. You just have to understand you aren't playing LawBringer to be the best 1v1er in the game. If you are an exclusive 1v1 player and only care about 1v1ing There are plenty of classes with better kits for 1v1ing. Again, I am not saying LawBringer can't do some work, I am just saying at the highest level he is considered average at best.
Ok, so now that you come to the realization of Lawbringer's state in 1v1s you ask yourself: Well what is LawBringer good at then?
LawBringer is a bully class. Ubisoft labels him as a disabler. If you land a heavy, shove! If you block, Shove. dash! Shove! Shove some more! All kidding aside if you aren't selfish and play to assist your teammates in fights you can kill anyone in the game no matter their skill level and how much they get revenge. Shove Spamming, Spear Charging and Long Arm spamming Are all essential tools to disabling some one so your teammate can kill him. long arm spamming is extremely effective because it a small dash window to escape. most Dominion and Death match players don't understand what you are doing in'till the third or 4th long arm. Which is usually enough for your teammate to pelt some one in the back with continuous heavies.
LawBringer excels at 2 things.
-Controlling your enemies stamina
-Enviormental kills
Parrying, good shoves, and long arming is your arsenal for destroying some ones stamina. Once you have some one stamina drained take advantage of it!
You don't have to be a total cheese ball with environmental killing even though you really can if you wanted to. You shouldn't shy away from good environmental kills. LawBringer is the best environmental killer in the game. Even when you think you are safe you aren't safe against him. take advantage of that. if you opponent puts himself in a bad spot. shoving and gb spamming can beat any class. all the other classes only really have 1 directional charges which you can easily side step.
Now I know some one who thinks LawBringer is bad is going to say. Environmental kills aren't real kills. It takes no skill. You shouldn't do it...... bleh bleh bleh bleh. I reiterate. I agree that LawBringer isn't the best in 1v1ing. But he makes up for it in objective game modes.
Also spear charging someone into a wall garentees a side heavy, shove. which can be followed up into a gb, side heavy, shove or any of your mixups. Or if you just did this to a unsuspecting enemy who was fighting a teammate. you can follow it up into a long arm chain long enough for your teammate to slice and dice the enemy.
In closing, if you play alot of objective games with friends and like to pile on enemies. If you like to turn people into endless salt factories with enviormental kills. LawBringer earns his name.
He has the second most health in the game after shuguki.Originally Posted by ThePollie Go to original post
Not any more.
Honestly the only change I feel like the Lawbringer needs is a guaranteed attack after a Long Arm throw. If a Lawbringer can land that combination in a fight then I think they deserve at least a light attack in for freebies.
Besides that he is all about playing to the Stamina game and trying to ensure that your opponents simply do not have the means to fight back with any real energy.
Also remember that if you are engaging an enemy alongside your allies and that enemy gains Revenge Mode. Step back from the fighting to allow him to focus on one of your allies and then lay into him with a Long Arm. The animation is more or less unblockable and it takes precious time out of their Revenge Mode allowing your allies to regroup.
