    I think its pretty balanced,
1000 at last pip of hp
    Massive start up time
    Long movement time
30% ish hp loss if missed.
For user, team mates can also attack carried player.

It's supposed to be a slow but strong devistating attack. Those caught in it are just unlucky. I can honestly only say that that is the point of the move.

Give every character a move like that then. Like Kensei's or Raider's unblockable for example could one shot from 100% HP, it would be "balanced" since these moves are slow and easily dodged/parried. What now? They are guaranteed in certain situations? Yea just like Shugoki's back break...

Then give Shugoki the move speed of other heroes then. Or give him a faster attack speed coz everybody has it. lol

Point is, every hero in this game is unique and just because it kicks your ***, does not mean it's OP. You should look at the hero's overall tool kit (pros/cons) and not just its strengths because you are being biased. Instead of crying here in the forums, go hit the custom 1v1 game and learn how to counter it.

In tight quarters this move is about as powerful as it gets. Shove against a wall and it's guaranteed I believe. Really good damage and a heal on top of it. It's a very powerful ability as is.

What's broken about it is the one-shot kill aspect. That's ridiculous overkill. It already heals the Shugoki and puts them back in the fight. It's already an extremely powerful move. Does any other class have a class-based healing ability? There's zero reason it should wipe out a full health opponent in one fell swoop, after the Shugoki got worked down to within his last bar. It punishes the player who played better, and rewards the Shugoki for having gotten beaten up.

I love the class as is. It's pure fun. Except for the one-shotting aspect of Demon's Embrace. That's pure cheese.

Agreed. I thought the instant kill was fine until I realized wall splats guarantee the embrace. At that point the "high risk" argument goes out the window, because you should only be doing it after the wall splats. It heals you so if you're that low you're back in the game, no reason to 1 hit kill your opponent. I can win matches without relying on it.

Don't fight Shugoki in places near the walls, fight in the open field and bait the Demon Embrace. Lets be real, most shugokis try to use demons embrace when they are at low health so it is super easy to avoid or bait it.

Giving one shot ability if you are at low health that is not easy to use is fine for class that is slowest class in the game. People don't know how huge disadvantage it is to be slowest character in the game. Peacekeeper hits faster than you can literally change guard.

    1. Its not always possible to fight in open field since some of the Duel arenas were made by drunken monkeys.
    2. His light attacks are fairly fast
    3. It doesnt matter if hes slow when 1 failed GB or 1 parry from Shugoki near wall means death from 100% HP. Thats stupid game design.

on one hand, the move is extremely telegraphed and easy to dodge-- on top of that it does a huge chunk of damage to the shugoki if he misses

but on the other hand, demon's embrace literally punishes the shug's opponent for doing well against him

on top of that, few things chap as many asses as a shugoki death hug in the middle of a 1 vs more-than-one situation
