Speaking as someone who never plays as Shugoki, I do think the move should use tweaking because the class is, if anything, too weak right now. Healing and instant kills feel so out of place in the game that they tend to annoy their opponents, which makes them sort of anti-fun, but the move eats up so much of the Shugoki's power budget that everything else about the class has to be incredibly underpowered to compensate. The attacks are slow that you can see a Shugoki start a heavy, wait a tic, and then start your own light attack and still hit first. Plus it feels like Shugoki run out of stamina with every attack which is really easy to punish.
I appreciate that Ubi needs to do experimental things with the classes if they want to be able to add more and maintain diversity, but the Shugoki seems to have too many tricks and not enough fundamental strength.

Besides the backbreaker the shugoki's headbutt, demon ball and super armor are amazing. Running out of stamina shouldn't be an issue unless you tossing out heavys constantly and getting parried.
Good point, I've heard a few streamers talking about how strong the Shugoki is as well. Maybe I'm just in a skill range right now where the Shugoki is awkward, people have seen the tricks enough to counter them but still aren't feinting or managing stamina very well.Originally Posted by Ferrio Go to original post

I've literally witnessed a Shugoki on my team 1 hit from death grab a full HP Orochi WITH DEFENSE BUFF on and ONE SHOT him. I all for a move being super punishing for the speed and animation time. However, this is way too excessive. I don't mind the heal either, i think it can be toned down a bit but not nerfed out.
The attack is unblockable, but it can be hit, and it can be dodged/rolled away from, it also has the world's longest wind up. It has a huge cost if missed and deals damage to the Shugoki.
