    People Running Instead of Playing

    Hey all!

I'm not normally one to complain about things, but my team and I have been running into a reoccurring problem: people who don't actually play the game.

What I mean by this are the people who spawn into a match and then don't actually do anything at all. They usually just run around in circles trying to get you to catch them. It's almost always in elimination. And it's almost always full teams of orochis and nobushis. What they are doing isn't necessarily cheating, but when it's a full team of four people who are running around too afraid to take on anyone 1 on 1... it gets exhausting.

These people just run up, poke you, run away like across the map, come back and do it again. I guess it's just a play style?
But it's extremely frustrating to the players that spend time memorizing movesets and actually trying to get good at the game when you have to face people all the time who don't care about being good, they just want to cheese you.

Is there possibly something we can do to combat this? Or a way to better encourage actually fighting the player in front of you when you spawn into elimination? I'm so tired of people just turning and running.

I don't mind hit and run at all, there are ways to punish.

I hate it when they run, and ONLY run. so you spend the rest of the timer just trying to get them.

Yes exactly! Hit and run can at least be countered. I play peacekeeper too, so generally the lunging move can trip them up a bit if I have to chase.

But a lot of the time it's just people running. And wasting time on the timer.

Try Dash Forward + Light Attack

it's a little bit harder with big slow guys (who you should be playing hit and run against anyway) but even the Kensei's slow *** can dash forward light attack and catch even a peacekeeper if they try to roll away. You just have to time it right. If you're playing something like an Orochi, doing the dash forward light attack while locked in the person is GUARANTEED to not get away. At some point they're going to have to turn and fight, or block something, if they really want to get away.

If you're having trouble catching runners you're probably playing a slow class, or have no sprint speed on your gear.

But yeah try the dash forward light attack combo you'll be happy for it.

Yep, this happens almost every time a fast character is the last one in elimination, it's just annoying.

If you want to run to a place you might have some tools to survive and then stand your ground, sure, but run away the rest of the match when you're clearly going to lose and let the timer run out is just a really bad experience for everyone else involved, even your team mates will not be having fun just seeing you just run around.
