    How do their builds work?

Sincere question... It's not everyone, but it seems every day I run into a player or group of players that seem to be indestructible, yet deal so much damage. I know I am nowhere near the best, but I am not terrible either. I have almost 700 rogue kills, so I can, on occasion, do OK. I am sincerely interested in what a build looks like that can take clip after clip AND drop 400k+ toughness with 55% armor mitigation in less that 2 seconds. Anyone willing to share? Is it gun talents, they dont miss head shots, etc. I'll likely never be able to play that well, but a little insight into it would ease my mind. Oh, and 99% of these guys claim to not be using Alpha, and cry about turrets and seekers, even though they seen to be able to run/shoot right through them.

    Thanks in advance. Happy gaming...

If it's not cheaters/hackers then more than likely they're using buffs, skills and links that effect everyone in their team to make them do more damage and more tougher to kill.

Its the elephant in the room in this game man........then they wonder why people get frustrated.....i'm like lvl 30 lvl 99 DZ been playing from the start and still from time to time get melted.....fact is there is no counter to these fake inflated DPD/FIREARMs builds if health and toughness worked as advertised this wouldn't happen if you have 55% armour mit and 500k health you should be VERY VERY hard to take down it was like this in the past until they started they're usual tinkering with health and armour and stats...............this is why i personally get p*ssed when ANY counter that is starting to make an impact to prevent this gets nerfed everytime to suit the DPs PVP doggies..........also with a high end group if your solo you got no chance.....new players or casual players who dont have time to play 24/7 or thinking they've enjoyed the PVE content with fun gearsets then naturally want to progress to the DZ with the same FUN gearset.....Biggest mistake........then they get peed off and never enter the DZ again.......more players lost........stupid....but thats where we at right now and imho after playing the PTS things are only getting worse in 1.6.........as there are simple zero counters to these high level ganking groups in the DZ

If you want the best chance of survival in the DZ man don't try to beat em....join em.......
    Example DZ build
a full banshee set with 2 sentry for 30% accuracy,
    500k toughness,survivor link,pulse,med booster
5k firearms,100k skillpower with max armour mit by using all armour mods in each gear slot,
then chosing suitable talents like on the move, critical save etc...,
getting your CHC to at least 50% by way of weapon mods, pulse, and vicious talent on your weapon,80+ CHD
This is a good start as at least you wont lose any XP or funds if you do get ganked....this is the setup i run in the DZ and so far has been very good but like i said your no match to a high level focused group even when my toughness hits 1.3 million by using my survivor link, critical save,on the move talents, med kit i still can be cut to pieces in seconds...this is all wrong......

It's the groups being able to pop a magic link one after another after another...they all share the power.
If Links weren't shared among team mates, most of us average or better players would stand a fighting chance against most of the kiddie gank squad types.
Most of those groups suck alone.

My friends and I have discussed how some of these things work and I agree that some builds are well thought out with respect to focus upon team healing, signature resource gain etc but even so, a lot of things just don't add up.

I'll admit previously my builds were lacking, but now, a lot of the time that I look at showcase builds on You Tube and forums like these, my builds are actually better.

I do not see how builds that can take down heavies or complete incursions do nothing against players and how 526K toughness seems to mean nothing in the DZ when it keeps me alive with no problems in Falcon Lost on Heroic.

Yesterday we were facing an eight man supergroup manhunt camping the DZ04 safe house. Several times we were able to funnel them into the alleyway and were in cover, shooting unobstructed at them as they came through the "kill zone". I didn't see one of them pop a heal, they just ran forward and I was getting dropped behind cover with an SASG from distances reminiscent of the old Sentry/Shotgun days.

I've been focus fired before but these guys were just taking turns like it was nothing to keep their manhunts.

I too think this could genuinely be a very serious issue. Something I keep hearing about more and more is high ping/low ping and shot registering. I will have days when I log in and it feels like my weapons are on steroids. I'll tear through NPCs and TTK will be like Destiny, then I'll change servers and it feels like 1.3 all over again.

This is why they removed armor as rolls on gear and gear mods.

But at the same time, you probably ran face first into boosted players and got hit with burst damage.
