    This Fanbase is Bloody Farcical

Nearly every other Godforsaken Thread in this cesspool of a Forum is... well, complete garbage. In every sense of the word.

It's always some immature, whiny Bleater, who writes as though they're six years old, and who have nearly no common sense, whatsoever. They're ALWAYS complaining about something or another (hence the term: "Bleaters")- whether it's about the Story Mode, or the balance, or the application of honor- there's always SOMETHING that these people are declaring "non secutor" over and demanding a refund for.

Just f.ucking stop! All of you!

This game is kind of like Portal, in that, the WORST things ABOUT it... are it's fans.

And just because I'm pretentious son-of-a-Warborn-w.hore, I'll be going over everything that I've seen complaints about.

    The Story Mode:

What did you expect? Some sort of Shakespearian masterpiece? A paragon to all forms of fictional storytelling? It's a game about knights, samurai, and vikings beating the everloving s.hit out of each other- it was NEVER going to be profound or particularly compelling of a tale. EVERYONE with a BRAIN expected the story to be mediocre, at best.

Which is why I was, personally, fairly pleasantly surprised at how decent it was, to me. But that hardly seems relevant.

    The Lawbringer:

Go on YouTube, and look up For Honor videos made by a guy called "CaRtOoNz". HE uses the Lawbringer just fine. There's a reason why the Lawbringer is directly stated to be "Hard difficulty".

    The Genderlock Shizzle:

It's NOT worth getting upset over. It's NEVER been worth getting upset over. For two reasons: what YOU want is NOT entirely relevant to what will/should be in the game. I don't care if you say "I would love a female Shugoki!". How is saying that even a good argument? Look- I agree, that it DOES feel like looking at a DLC-restricted teaser. But there's an easy way to fix that! Tweaking the U.I on certain character's customization screens, and getting rid of the entire "gender section" where necessary.

There! Nothing feels like it's missing, anymore!

The second reason is: Ubisoft's developers will/might get around to it whenever they bloody-well feel like getting around to it. NOTHING ANY of us will EVER SAY can change that. I utterly despise it when people complain about things that they have no power over. It's like whining about school policy when the decisions that the state makes about it aren't even within your sphere of perception.

As far as any of us are aware: the game works just fine as is. The "Genderlock" was NEVER relevant to the title's success.

    Honor:

Look. I agree. Environmental factors have NO place in 1v1 or 2v2. And I am in full support of a new gamemode being created wherein two combatants enter a featureless, dirt-floor arena with other players spectating. A Tournament would do this game wonders.

But what do you expect? Human beings are a.rseholes, especially when it comes to complete strangers. You should NEVER trust ANYONE online to followthrough with an unwritten set of rules. Chances are: they won't. That doesn't mean that YOU should subsequently go cheesy-Rambo and abuse the environment YOURSELF, but just don't give any opponent the opportunity to do the same to you.

well theres a consumer affairs report about this game release now, so the worst thing about this game is Ubisoft.

the game mechanics themselves are badass, i think few credible people dispute that, especially if you grew up on games like street fighter, tekken, soul calibur. its a very refreshing combat system. i just wish any other game company in the world had the corner on it.

I agree with some of the post, but not all of it. Reason being is some of the complaints are fully justified and some things ARE broken. The honor thing is 50/50, personally I don't care about the honor part, I care about the longevity and overall enjoyment of the game. e.g: grouping against 1 player in 4v4 or 2v2. It's unfair, cheap, cheesy, deplorable and not fun whatsoever to do or to be on the receiving end of. Being honorable in 1v1s comes down to not spamming easy unblockable moves or guard breaks and not pushing your opponent off a random ledge, which to be fair, shouldn't happen.

I disagree with what was stated about the story. I've not gotten very far into it, so I've no real opinion about it. All I can say is that expecting and even accepting the notion that some aspect of a game is going to be sub-par because it was added only to place a check in a box is silly. I don't anticipate a particularly enthralling tale from For Honor, but I think that an effort should be made for this achieved. It shouldn't just be written off as non-essential by both the developers and the consumers. That's not conducive to improvement.

Taking OP's side for a moment though, if people are simply complaining about the campaign being trash than they're not helping anyone. People need constructive criticism to improve. Don't simply say you didn't like something. Say what would have made it more enjoyable.
