Game won't start: Check that your game has been installed correctly

My game won't start anymore. After a short break (30 minutes) I wanted to start up the game again and get this error: "Unable to start the game. Please check that your game has been installed correctly..." (Screenshot). I have the option to locate the game folder, which it does properly (on the same location it was before), but starting the game results in the same problem.

Verifying files works fine and does not solve the problem. Other things I tried are: Starting Uplay as admin, rebooting, disabling anti virus

    Any ideas?

    Hi there Lycake!

Do you still have any of the BETAs installed? We would recommend uninstalling them, and then reinstalling the game to see if this fixes the issue.

I played the last beta, but it is not installed anymore. I uninstalled it a few days ago before downloading the full game. Weir is that the game just worked fine the last days and even earlier today. Could a reinstall fix any issues that verifying does not? Because reinstalling is the only thing I have not done, yet. Obviously want to avoid redownloading that much if I can.

Edit: Re-install did NOT work. However, after another reboot it starts again now. I have no clue what I did to fix it or why it works now and didn't earlier. It didn't work after I installed it (in another location even). I have a fealing that either EAC or my anti virus restricted access to the exe, but I am not sure why that would persist through reboots earlier and a reinstall to a new location. Really weird.

If anyone encounters this problem let me know and we can compare specs so we might figure out what it was.

Thanks for trying to help me UbiViscount!

Another thread with people having the same issue: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...lp-me-fix-this

It just started doing this to me today and I had none of the betas installed and reinstalled/verified files around 4 times to see if that was causing it. No luck.

    Hello all,

If you are affected by this issue, i would be very interested in taking a look at your Uplay logs so we can try to identify the cause. The link below includes instructions of how to find your logs and how to send them to us.

Tried everything as well as new user etc. Same problem. This is 2017 when problems like these should be ironed out before launch right?.....
