that class is so broken it's not even funny.
all 3 of the classes that were left out of most of the test sessions are messed up and need lots of work. but the Shugoki is the real problem, the other 2 are underpowered. but the Shugoki is just ridiculously strong, and you can't do alot to counter his kit either.
valk is fun - but that pin move seriously needs a bigger window to hit strong attack and/or much larger bleed.Originally Posted by Vordred Go to original post
I'm just gonna keep copy-pasting my post from one of the dozens of other threads about this:
"I see so many people complaining about this ability and I feel I need to point out some stuff.
The Pros of Demon's Embrace
- It heals us and does a nice amount of damage
- If at critical health it will one shot anyone
The Cons of Demon's Embrace
-It's one of the most telegraphed moves in the game
-It's EXTREMELY easy to dodge
-If we miss with it we damage ourselves for a 3rd of our HP bar
-If we miss with it, in addition to damaging us, it takes a moment for us to be able to do anything again and leaves us open to attack.
The cons outweigh the pros, the ability is not as overpowered as people think it is and is quite well balanced. And the fact that people are beginning to wise up to it is making it increasingly difficult to land. If you do get hit by it it's on you.
As for other things that people have mentioned being OP, like uninterruptible stance, that also isn't as OP as you might think. Uninterruptible stance only lasts until we get hit once, with a light or heavy attack and then it has to recharge and we can be interrupted. After uninterruptible stance is broken we actually take increased damage, this is where the heal from Demon's Embrace comes into play, to deal with the increased damage we take and keep us in the fight.
All in all what I'm saying is the Shugoki is actually a pretty well balanced character and if anyone thinks he is OP it's because they don't understand how he works, I'd recommend playing him for yourself and I'm willing to bet you'd change your tune quite quickly."
I'm also going to add, yes, he does a lot of damage. That's to compensate for how ridiculously slow he is. He is literally described in the heroes screen as a Hard Hitter so this shouldn't be a surprise. Being able to hit hard does not equal overpowered.
you say he is Slow, i'm playing the LawBringer, the Shugoki is faster. and with his uninterruptible stuff, makes him almost impossible beat.
basically you have a class, that has lots of health, hits really hard, can heal it's self, can one shot you. has uninterruptible attacks and stance.
that is a recipe for OP
Excellent post. Ive had a frustrating time dealing with Shugokis but this really helps out. YOu are absolutely right in saying not understanding the character is part of the issue as it was mine.Originally Posted by DovahkiinSuleyk Go to original post
I get where you're coming from, getting hit by a one shot ability in any game is going to suck, but if a Shugoki is on critical health you can pretty much just expect he's going to go for Demon's Embrace and be ready for it and considering it is arguably the most telegraphed and slowest attack in the game you can blame no one but yourself for getting hit by it. As for the double teamed scenario yeah, sure, it's going to be harder to avoid but that goes for any attack from any hero in a 2v1 situation. It's not like we can just run around at critical health Demon's Embracing people for one shot kills because the ability heals us up from critical health to stop that kind of abuse.Originally Posted by Sky-Sweeper Go to original post
This is the second post I see where you mention that one of the champion is OP or broken. Maybe its time to look at your skills but not how the game is made?Originally Posted by Vordred Go to original post
Not for slow characters with pathetic dodges such as Lawbringer.Originally Posted by DovahkiinSuleyk Go to original post
