Yeah i have experience this so much time i cant parry anything (right direction nothing happen) but ppl think they are so pro player (yes so pro play vs someone cant parry anything in a game where defence is OP) and this kind of isuee doesnt exist. I have played betas and that isuee happed with less frequencies then release. This is really annoying and is making me bored about this game.

    There are gear stats:
    - Defense - How much damage you take from attacks
    - Block Damage Resistance - This is how hard your block can be hit before you stagger and take damage

I'll check it myself a bit later, but may be one of those stats referring to how much you can block until you get damage? May be it works like "if you've taken that much damage within that much time, then now more damage will go through your block"?

So this IS a thing! I've been wondering for SO long how everyone thought the Berserker was a bad character when I just absolutely struggle against them every time I'm up against one. Half the time they go into their dumb left/right heavy infinite, I'm hitting the directions yet I'm STILL getting hit (and dying within three hits because the PK is squishy asf). Even playing against other classes, sometimes when it gets particularly close I panic and throw out a hail-mary overhead lunge, see the enemy block up and I'm thinking "aw this is gonna hurt" yet I get the kill, then stand there for a second with my sword in their throat and us both going how the ****!?

Like, WOW. Now I'm really rethinking preordering ANYTHING with the Ubisoft label on it, if their games are going to continue having issues this blatantly detrimental to the state of the game.

    LOL

Sorry but you must be badly stupid not to see whats going on here.
You have about 10 videos thats shows guard on right BEFORE ATTACK and the ATTACK still hurt the player.

Thanks for all of this I t hought i was the only one .. it was drinving me crazy..

But this is the game. Just and only the game... Basicly, Ubisoft "amazing" gameplay is just .. badly broken ?

First of all, changing blocking direction isn't instant. In the videos with the attack from the bot, the attack indicator already flashed red for the parry timing before the block direction was changed. At that point it was apparently to late to change block.

In the other ones the player used mouse settings with very high speed and constantly flipped the guard direction. I can just guess that he didn't have the block up at the right position in the right time.

The 1v1 vs bots has no gear stats in practice.

    INVALID!!

But to point out, this is not a thing. Not at all. If timed correctly you will not stagger, ever, unless hit by an unblockable.

But feel free to provide example like with OP.

I can block endlessly in 1v1 vs friends, without a single miss if you time them all before the hit, and never get staggered.

    Never.

    OP's point still firmly stands.

Even in 1v1 with a friend, stagger is not the problem. Its the fact that "I totally guarded that" but the game doesn't mention that you need to be blocking 2 seconds before the attack is made to counter it.

Making an Assassin vs Assassin IE: PK vs Oro completely and utterly defenseless vs PK, due to his guard unable to stay up, like in the videos with Valk.

Its not block timing that is broken on player error. Its the blocking in-game mechanic that is FAR too lenient to attackers.

So, in summary, all of the people that say "I don't have that problem because my internet is fast" are either 1. Liars. 2. Trolls. 3. Inexperienced. in descending order from worst to acceptable responses.

    Hey guys,

I experienced unblockable attacks too (especially with my Valk, sadly. Not that she's in a bad enough spot already...). My internet is good, though.
Because it's P2P (a.k.a. pain to play) my internet does count for nothing if my enemies do not have good connections. At least I thought that would be the case. But if it happens with bots, too, my thesis is f***ed up all over the place.

So I'm asking for an official statement. Is it a bug or is it related to the emulated P2P?
Or is it synchronized P2P? Don't know, doesn't make much differnece to me, though. I'm just a non-professional.

    regards
    Z.
