So the first 2 videos do not show any overlay, the 3rd one doesnt show mouse movement properly- IF the movement was correct and the mouse didnt change last second (having bad sensor etc.) then the only possible reason to this is a 56k Modem and having a massive lagfest connection, that shouldnt be online at all.
That stuff i see in the 3rd video, is usually the result of a 3rd world alien with massive lag, or the result of some1 cheating - according to how fast that guy recovered after geting knocked backwards... well... like i said i only see this happening if some1 has a really **** internet connection and this game having waaaaaay too much tolerance for those guys.

If a 56k lagger plays a fast hero, then his attacks are almost instantly hitting, while hes unable to block properly - i recently see more and more of those guys.

The only attack that i know currently about to be unblockable based on reactions is noobkeepers zoneattack into feint, it is a 100% instant hit, you cant block it unless your guard already is on the right side.

    Thank you for video evidence!!

OMG I KNOW THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH BLOCKING! ... lots of time I see that I block in same guard like attacker (ordinary light / heavy attack) but still get hit!

This game is full of bugs ... Iam sad because of it.

I'll certainly forward this on, but please remember that there are a number of factors that can have an impact on blocking/parrying a blow, not least an incorrectly-timed parry and/or a poor connection.

To parry a blow you need to block in the correct direction and hit heavy attack at the right time. If you get the timing wrong, it won't work and you'll take the damage from the blow because it's considered an attack and not a defence. In your third video of the Valkyrie against the Berserker, the control mapping at the bottom shows that you try to throw a guard break (middle mouse button) and also attempt a parry (right click) towards the end of the footage. In these cases, it's perfectly normal to take the damage. The overhead attack you take in the final video also seems to be a badly timed parry, judging by the animation. In the first video with the Orochi, you're out of stamina and blocking top heavy attacks from a Raider. The last one that goes through is likely because you didn't get the block back up in time (perhaps because of lag, which leads me to the next possibility).

It could otherwise just be that you're experiencing lag, which as some other users in the thread have mentioned means there's a delay between what actually happens (you being attacked) and what you try to respond with (a block). This would also result in you taking damage when having seemingly blocked in time.

As above though, I will forward this thread on for investigation. But it's important to bear in mind that there are other possibilities than "it's just broken".

    Have a good evening,

    Gaidheal
I think explanation like "you are experiencing lag" is sad and unprofessional from my point of view. Now I understand why deflecting Guard Breaks not work. Why dodging not work. Why still betting hit even when blocking from correct guard.... I AM JUST EXPERIENCING LAG. Game like this should have inbuilt "Lag Reduce Mechanism". If Ubisoft programmers not know what I mean, use google. There are lots of articles about this.

https://youtu.be/tAU5bIalbnc?t=8m32s THIS actually seems to be the Cause of all the Problems. Things that may or may not be fixed by having dedicated Servers, but it would make everyone shut up and blame lag instead of Ubisoft.

What's the point of having two god damn BETA's and yet this still made it to production???
even i as an orochi player experience this ok.. dont think youre special just because youre "cool" for disliking another person's playstyle

I knew it. I got hit trough clear blocks a lot. I thought it was something with a mouse but this just proves another one of Ubisofts games is busted.

Disliking? I'm not disliking it at all, the blocking feature of this game is broken when Assassins in general strike much faster than all other Hero's and it's a f-ing problem when we can't block them due to this BS. GTFO with you nonsense.

i'm not saying blocking works 100%, specially with p2p and this netcode but: some of these look like just missed parries.

I think so, too. The Vids aren't a proof in my eyes.

There are plenty of people which do not even try to parry, though. They just use the standard block and get those ghostattacks nevertheless. I, myself, got it a dozen times. Ghostattacks start to scare me off, because it takes the skill from combat. Higher pings seems to beat skill. Hardly fair, ain't it?
