    Season Pass Monthly Special Events

I stumbled upon this article the other day:

    http://tomclancy-thedivision.ubisoft...on-pass-owners

One line in specific caught my eye: "Update 1.4 will bring more variety to these exclusive drops with random locations, as well as increased frequency."

Those of us who own the season pass know that Massive added only one additional location to the supply drops. Is that what they meant by "variety"? How about the "frequency"?

Right now these supply drops do not feel any special. They do not feel worth the effort to me, and it looks like the added location was just to minimally meet the "variety" promise. Those three items we get can be easily obtained by farming two LZ bosses, or even roaming the streets for a couple of minutes. Massive, please evaluate and update the monthly rewards for those of us who bought your game's season pass. Leave the frequency as is, if you so choose, but add a chance to get an exotic item, or a blueprint, or vanity items, or random min/maxed pieces of gear, anything. Make us want to go get those rewards...

Even the variety is just in the middle of a road in a different location.

why not put one on top of a building that we have to climb or have one guarded by an Elite/named enemy and his crew. have one guarded by a Rogue agent (like the legendary mission ones)or a hunter.

As for events why not once a month have a rescue mission (timed) get to location kill enemies rescue hostages within a time limit and get say an exclusive vanity item.

Your mistake was believing something that Massive said.

I would just like a supply drop very week at least. There is never anything good in them anyways so what would that hurt?

Massive in 'over promising and under delivering shock!.

But seriously, these "events" are only designed to meet the minimum requirements to satisfy the terms of the season pass and no more.

To me they do not meet the spirit of an 'event', but yes technically they are. Even their comment about providing variety, if you change world tier that is technically variety and frequency. Are they exclusive? again, technically yes, but they don't offer anything that isn't available anywhere else in game with very little effort.

Don't get me wrong, i've sunk a lot of hours into this game, but these are hours i would have sunk into it without buying the season pass. I should thank Massive for teaching me not to buy into what people promise!

I too am not overly surprised with the poor result of the season pass, but I do find it insulting enough that I am highly skeptical of any Ubisoft title now.

Yep, Ghost Recon would probably have been on my to buy list but now i'm giving it a wide berth. I'll maybe wait for some (impartial) reviews to come out after release and see how quickly the price drops.

It is sad to see how a company has lost their community's confidence in such short time...

I reserved judgement and applied for a closed beta code. Instead I received a dozen emails trying to sell me the $160 skeleton doll version to get a beta invite. So at least in my opinion it was a pay-to-test scam. So after the test, I read the games Ubi forum. And from reports so far the game will be less complete than The Division at launch. And since Ubi hasn't even tried to complete The Division over the past year, I doubt Wildlands will be much of a game until at least 2018.

Much like The Division, I expect the title to be $10 by the end of summer. Some retailers are already discounting preorders because of the horrible closed beta results.

Oh well. You have to sell a quality product to have a quality reputation.

I buy a minimum of 2 copies of every game just to keep peace in the house, so I've already sunk almost $200 in The Division with the season pass. And I probably have my money's worth in entertainment, but it was a good lesson in buyer beware. I would have preferred a complete game and a support staff that knew what they were doing to maintain that game. Oh well, my experience with this title will be how I judge Ubisoft from here on out.
