Please dont be so stubborn guys, the current GB mechanic only disadvantage new and inexperienced players.
This doesnt change anything for experienced player, if you can parry you can easily learn to counter GB on timing.

So this revert back to beta mechanic only advantage new players, and i totally agree with that, the guarbreak is absolutely disgusting both in term of dmg or instant kill it can provide. So new player should not have such a hard time to counter it. This will i hope favor new player to continue to play the game and not quit because they get throw or instant kill every 2s.

May as well just remove it from the game altogether then aye...

I'll be so sad if they put it back. All that will do is make high level play boring and low level play SLIGHTLY less frustrating for new players. Then once they learn the game they join the rest of the bored players. It's insulting to the player base to not give them a chance to learn to play the game.

If you aren't mashing buttons you can break it on reaction.

Man I hope they don't change it back. It doesn't take long to learn how to break and t makes the gameplay so much for rewarding.

I hate the new age of whining on forums to win gaming man. So many great releases games are ruined because of a bunch of salty special kids who want to be the best RIGHT NOW but don't want to put in the work.

    Run on sentence, sorry.

It took me 1 solid day of training myself to react to guard breaks, now people can't scrub me out. I should be rewarded for my skill. Not encumbered by the incompetence of the mass of sheep flooding the servers.

What about apollyons talk about wolves? We are here. Don't force us to be but mere dogs.

Your guard has to match his guard in order to counter it...

If it's easy to avoid for new people, it would be trivial to avoid for more experienced players. At that point you may as well just take it out of the game and a fighting game without throws is fundamentally broken. Both players could just sit and react to everything the other is doing, the match would go on for eternity. I don't think you understand what you're asking for.

this is how games get balanced. total idiots cant figure out a simple move, make a video of their total inability, post it and cry in forums.
counter guard breaking is no rocket science. making it easier would be terrible.
the only thing they have to change is the fact that gbing at the same time is a 50/50 resulting in an untechable gb for one of the players.

their upcoming changes post indicates to me, that you will be able to cgb during the whole gb animation: "Currently you can’t counter a guardbreak during a guardbreak attempt. This will be returned to the previous behavior seen in the Beta. "
this is clearly a mistake as it will be way too easy making gb redundant.

Nah not really but it is called a "guard break". Basicly as far as I can tell it was intended as a tool to use against someone just being all defense or the turtle mechanism for Warlord and Conq.
To break his guard quite literally. Instead it has become a tool of offense and cheap enviromental kills.

Honestly what I think is that it was a mistake to put throw on guardbreak. Guard break should be a separate tool on a seperate button. And just make GB a grab and a counter grab. Make the grab cost (lots of) stamina when it's misses or is countered so that abuse of it drains you completely. Then a grab still has value if timed right but won't be spammed till kingdom come all the time.

I dont know why, but i personally find its easier to cgb now than it was in beta.

Can't wait for the patch.Yet know I'm learning how to counter the gb,any step that increase the window is a blessing.Too many people use it to just get kills out of ledges, and in 1v1 way too map have bridges/too small space to avoid ledges.
