Orochi Needs a Nerf BADLY | Forums

I'm tired of going into matches with one or two orochis at least and getting completely destroyed because orochi has such a overpowering attack dps that it out classes the first bleed build that arrived in the early test seasons. Everyone on my team gets hit twice or three times and boom they're dead already, obviously this wasn't a intentional feature because if it was then we all know why the main character in the story is one. Base skill orochi previous before reputation 1 has fine damage output, dealing average damage like orochi should but when you get to the point where you can stack buffs and raise attack power you can go in and one man army 5 people all at the same time and without a sweat know you will win for sure because you're basically thor on the battlefield. Please nerf orochi's damage stack, its way too much.

OMG! Why is every people like that?? The Orochi dont need nerf just learn to play, he is not overpowered. His attacks dont hit hard he is just fast, but he has so many attacks you can parry and after punish them, Like their storm rush, so easy to parry. Just train hard and you can kill them easily.

they do not need a nerf, you simply need to learn to counter them. just because you cant smash your way to victory does not mean they are op. I play as one as well as lawbringer and nobushi. honestly i have the MOST trouble on my oro due to her low hp and defence.

Agreed. Everyone saying that it doesn't, plays orochi and nothing else. It's pretty evident why orochi and peacekeeper are the two most played classes in the game. There are clear advantages to those classes. If it were because people liked the assassin class you'd see more berserkers but you barely see any. If it were because of the bleed people would complain about nobushi. They only class people complain about is orochi and peacekeeper. Orochi being the most complained about class. There is clearly a problem

This has nothing to do with getting good. Enless all these people have fiber optic connections, some way to only connect to players who also have super computers and fiber optic connections (because this game uses peer to peer connection), play on a supercomputer and have Neo like reflexes I don't see how you purposely defend against the orochi light combo string. It's just too fast. If you do manage to defend against it, its either luck or the person you're playing is terrible and telegraphs everything

The problem is not Orochi, nor is it the people who are fed up with getting killed by him. The problem is these unbearable, bottom feeding, classless idiots who don't look at a character like him and see all the beautiful and charismatic style he possesses, all the opportunities to face off with formidable opponents in respectable combat. No, all they see is their opportunity to wreak havoc on the people who want nothing more than to be given a fair chance to be challenged and maybe even impressed by themselves in this stunning new environment where naively they thought maybe despite not being so limited by consequence other players might still respect and adhere to a code of ethics that seems to have all but vanished at this point. As much as I hate limitation in the gaming world, I pray Ubisoft will be coming up with some penalties for these cowards. Because if they don't pretty soon people like me and all those who can happily play a 10 minute duel, lose, and still give their opponent a "good fight" because they won with respect are gonna start fighting fire with fire.

I agree with your comment 100%. How on earth can people say "Orochi isn´t OP, you just need to get good!"

If you want a clear indicator, in an online game, which of your chars are OP, you just have to look at the pickrates. I´m making up numbers but in my personal experience made in the days of Closed and Open BETA and now since release, i would say that out of 100%, between 50% and 60% were either Orochi ,Peacekeeper or Nubushi, about 20% Wardens and the rest split between the other Heroes of which a huger amount of it goes to the new 3 (Valkyrie,Shugoki and Lawbringer).

What i´m saying is it´s obvious that there´s something going wrong if the pickrates aren´t, at least nearly, even.

Most people complaining about the Orochi are the guys who are only able to play hack & slay.

If you would fight more patient against the Orochi you can easily kill them. Go and play the Orochi for some time and you will be a) know what they are doing and b) realize that this char is not OP at all.

Disclaimer #2: a good way to keep track of what data tells Ubisoft what changes are needed is to check the official upcoming updates thread.
Just to let it out there that Orochi has been nerfed in the full game. Yes, there are a lot of people playing as Orochi and Peace Keeper, but these characters are really fragile. Dodge is now slower and travels a shorter distance (good nerf, imo), and once they get hit with a chain, they're forced to defend, they no longer can step back after the first hit. I understand how frustrating it is to see a class be so overused, but individual experience is not and never was good statistical data. I've seen a lot of Berserkers running around and they wreck the **** of light characters with their infinite combo. I simply accept that I'm weak against certain classes/characters and try to learn, that's what I like about the game. Ex: some people are complaining the Lawbringer is useless, but I've seen people praise the character and I've been kicked around by some good LB in game. This being said, GB is going to get fixed and Valkyrie seems to be getting nerfed a bit (recovery time).

This is the result of people being bad at the actual game. they dont know how to think when playing the game.

You are completely right, EVERY champion in this game is just a "Learn how to defeat". Nothing more.. they are not OP or anything.

People are complaining just because they cant play the game.
