Everyone's #1 issue are servers. We need them. Always online is also a problem. The campaign and practice/custom games should be available offline!

Honestly I have ****ty internet personally, 6mbps up and 2 down, real ****. But I have had such minimal issues Im confident at this point that anyone who makes a thread like this is blowing things wayyyy out of proportion.
I have 24 hours of play time as of now, attribute about 12 of that to campaign and you are left with 20+ hours. I've played over 100 matches easily so lets use 100 as a sample size shall we?

Out of 100 matches I've experienced lag that interrupted game play twice only. Once was a 2v2 where the guy was teleporting. Other time was workable. I've only been booted from a match 3 times due to any type of drop overall.
So saying this, 5% of the time, there is an issue. I personally feel that 5% is WELL within acceptable limits for what should be expected from a company, hell I've played games that were server based that had issues more than 5% of the time.

What I am saying is... I don't think its a direct issue with it being p2p, more an issue that people dont LIKE p2p or refuse to correctly set their own ports.

Someone didn't takea moment to read the multiple fixes that ubisoft actually put out regarding these issues...

Before calling a company ****, do your part and actually read their notices.

That's not it, and that's not how to take a reliable sample size.

For anybody else who is unaware of the way this works, I invite you to read the misinformed reddit thread created by a GeneralAnubis (LINK). He is making the argument that P2P connection is actually superior to dedicated servers. For the way things actually work, scroll down to the posts made by Icemasta. Be forewarned, this is quite the read but very informative for those who are interested.

So, going back to the post made by KiemKiemIsMyBud, theoretically I could hop into a game with you...know your public IP address...know exactly which ports you opened up for this game (with no domain restrictions, I might add), and proceed to attack your network. How comfortable are you with that? Now, I couldn't do any of those things because A. I didn't buy this game because I knew all this was coming, and B. I don't want to go to jail =D

Overall, you can see this is Ubisoft at its finest for providing an all around ****ty service as it is not only unreliable, but compromising.

    What in the FLYING F***

Where are the dedicated servers? This is a poor release and really makes me angry that i dropped $79.99 + tax on a bad P2P connection....multiplayer game...like WTF were u thinking....this is gonna die fast

Network handling is catastrophic in this game, if it stays like this it will likely deplete the player base killing this new license. I'm running on fiber optics, green NAT, no firewall, opened all needed ports just in case despite using UPnp. Still gets erratic and repetitive disconnects from multiplayer games (specially dominion/deathmatch ones), rngjesus blocking,; probably due to latency in a game wich should be very responsive due to the inherent nature for such a fighting game. Getting bored already with all this crap and prolly returning soon to Overwatch.. i guess we'll have to wait some months before Ubisoft gets all this fixed and hopefully decides to get dedicated servers up and running. Obviously they didn't learn from R6 Siege launch experience, but at least they fixed it with time. Hopefully they'll take the same route with For Honor, because besides this it has the potential to be a great game and deserves it.

UbiSoft should be paying this guy mad dollars to fix their FK up. This is so embarrassing for them. And its absolutely the worst trash mistake by a AAA game dev I have ever seen. I hope whomever made this decision loses his job!

    Error Code 0006000018

Couldn't agree more. Love the game, most of the game works for me, but I keep getting error code 6000018 and a notication that faction war state is currently unavailable! Multiplayer games generally load well, but it's really getting to me that I can't see the faction war updates!

Anyone have a fix for this please reply!

I think the game was designed initially to be a typical 1v1 fighting game where P2P is essential (all fighting games are P2P). While this doesn't scale particularly well to big team games, as people have seen. It is essential that 1v1 remain P2P.

I swear to god, for once Ubisoft releases a game that is actually good and that is fun to play and all that, those connexion issues are just KILLING ME.

    "coordinating players"
    "An error has occured"
    "reconnecting...."

are the three messages i saw the most on this ******* game, and that's counting the "orochi is cancer" thing. I got more error messages than ingame salt, and god knows ingame salt is high.
So in three words, ubisoft, GET SOME SERVERS. Really, you're killing your own game before it has even a change to go competitive, because competitive game right now would be utter ********.
