These connectivity issues are ruining the game completely. The game seems to arbitrarily decide to change my NAT type, disconnect me from matches and even disable my audio. I have never had any of these glaring issues with any game before. How this game got to be released in this state is beyond me and Ubisoft should really pick up the pace in trying to rectify these issues.
There some trues here BUT i'd still go w servers. That 10ms to 40ms is not THAT important...especially when after some time you start to learn what usually happens after certain move from each class...I really don't want to go into detail here...the point here is that everyone will benefit from Dedicated servers. In fact it will make easier to group up players by region which will almost nullify the ms difference...that's a no brainer. Server are needed asap.Originally Posted by Crims0n_Sky Go to original post
The problem is that this game is reliant on reactions and p2p just doesn't work with this. Look you can sort of get away with it on a game like Siege but on For Honor where reactions are everything it doesn't work its not just your reactions then its the speed at which each PC can get the information therefore being severely unfair in this type of game.
The one thing that gets me is that the development team should have seen this problem before or during development and yet they have completely ignored it. Could be a fantastic game if not for this small issue.+
I fortunately don't have issues as often as some by the sounds (just get weirder **** like my game going French or German etc) - I do get them occasionally and when it does happen its frustrating as hell wondering why I can't counter guard break or block/parry in-time.
Open up resource manager (because you know UbiSH*T don't wanna display my Ping) and behold the 200+ ms I'm getting oh that's why well this game is a loss isn't it.
It baffles me to why in 2017 a fair anticipated twitch based multiplayer game .......and they decided to go with P2P what are we in 2007? Bloody hell over dedicated servers heck even assassin's creed (insert whichever number can't remember) multiplayer had dedicated servers for a short time. If nothing is done we'll see this game disappear into the ether of meh games due to terrible support meanwhile UbiSH*T will wonder why they are not held in high regard like Blizzard.
Signed that petition for what good it'll do
Yup, this P2P setup is hurting the gameplay for me very quickly. Between the current broken guardbreak system (yes it's being patched at an undisclosed time), being unable to react properly to attacks with a simple block or parry due to what is no doubt a send/receive issue can be down right infuriating. I'm even getting magically grabbed in the middle of light attacks. It's getting to the point I want to game capture both my gameplay and my hands just to prove it's not me missing the timing.
Not being able to counter your opponent in this game due to inputs not being transmitted fast enough will and no doubt has made people stop playing this game, Ubisoft would be wise to listen to it's user base. Consider dedicated servers if you are banking on the longevity of this game.
