I played the open beta and there weren't honestly any connection issues. Now, however, the game is purely unplayable and that's just sad, considering the potential it has and all the efforts ubisoft put into advertising the game. I'm not qualified enough to tell if getting servers is the best solution, but there certainly is a better solution than what we have now (even the open beta proved it).
Being french myself, I feel ashamed that such a greedy company as ubisoft gets to represent the french video game industry.
"Ubisoft reputation", nice joke there.Originally Posted by jhoxis Go to original post

There's a petition inside. I know it won't probably do anything but just in case.
the connection problems are unacceptable!
i don't understand how, as a developer, you really think this is a great idea.
i just don't understand it and have not seen and good explaination that could convince me that P2P is the way to go.
It just isnt.
The game cant even handle someone leaving, let alone keep up the connection.
I guess thats what you get, when you have in-house playtesters!
Agreed. Lesson learned. I never buy games at launch. P2P on a full-priced game, AND it already has a $40 season pass, and microtransactions to buy steel, for cosmetics that don't even really look all too different from one another. I hear this type of thing is typical from Ubisoft. It's unfortunate. My only other Ubi game was Farcry 3 way after launch, and Rainbow Six way after launch too. They have a pretty bad reputation, just look on reddit. They should care more about that.
you were lucky then, cuz me and my friends, playing alone or together had lots of connectivity problems.Originally Posted by Ossombre Go to original post
starting with not being able to simply join a group and getting disconnected. the game hasnt even started yet... SO frustrating!
If only it were that simple. Please explain to all of us how we can get our internet providers to spend millions to put fiber to our doors. Unfortunately all of the major companies provide a basic service that ranges from 60-100 mbps down and 5-20 mbps up. Only 10 percent of internet providers provide fiber and not all fiber is 100 mbps down and 100 mbps up. You have a rare provider if that is in fact your speeds. A simple speed test online will allow you to test it. AT&T offers fiber in my area but at slower speeds than my cable provider. My neighbor has a basic plan on fiber from AT&T and only gets 18 mbps down and 1.5 mbps up while I get 130 mbps down and 5 mbps capped up with cable. AT&T cannot match those speeds. Absent a competitor that offers something faster, why would a company spend the money to provide a faster service subtracting from their profit margin? So yeah...Originally Posted by Lokeshusse Go to original post
