i wounder why there is no statement of ubisoft about that. noone is happy with how it is now. the connection problems are a major problem.
and i fear that great game will die because of it

ok so 5TH consecutive ****ing day i play for 2two hours and a half and i'm able to play a SINGLE, as in only ONE dominion match for a grand total of 10 minutes of actual playtime. the rest of the time is spent looking for a match wich i either don't find no matter if the activity says sky high, and i have a green NAT , OR the very moment i find one i get that ****ing 4000 something erorr and i get kicked out. now immagine this for 2 hours straight for 5 consecutive days

you know what? **** You ubisoft. i quit.

first and LAST purchase i made from you. people talkiing all kind of **** about how ****ing broken your games are have all the reason on this earth if this for honor is any indication of your competence as devs.

    good bye.

If you read the comments, you'll find plenty of answers to why it isn't. Are u serious? Tell me one big AAA game that has p2p servers in 2017.

No, P2P was a lazy excuse for ubisoft not to pay for servers and now they can just say "lol we cant fix your issues are with your connexion" and get away with basically everything. Their service is non-existant, they never answer on the forums (or i havent seen them in any of the posts i checked) and they basically do nothing save from **** with the game which is already in a pretty ****ty state, between obvious cheaters, people who leave games to **** other people up and deny them any rewards, and this ******ed lag that gives some people either godlike blocking or attacking. P2P is ********, and everyone knows that. Otherwise why the hell would everyone be so pissed at it?

Do you try not to read posts already made in this thread?

That's not it, and that's not how to take a reliable sample size.

For anybody else who is unaware of the way this works, I invite you to read the misinformed reddit thread created by a GeneralAnubis (LINK). He is making the argument that P2P connection is actually superior to dedicated servers. For the way things actually work, scroll down to the posts made by Icemasta. Be forewarned, this is quite the read but very informative for those who are interested.

So, going back to the post made by KiemKiemIsMyBud, theoretically I could hop into a game with you...know your public IP address...know exactly which ports you opened up for this game (with no domain restrictions, I might add), and proceed to attack your network. How comfortable are you with that? Now, I couldn't do any of those things because A. I didn't buy this game because I knew all this was coming, and B. I don't want to go to jail =D

Overall, you can see this is Ubisoft at its finest for providing an all around ****ty service as it is not only unreliable, but compromising.

Glad someone already took the time to explain why that post is/was ********. But I wanna focus on this part: "... the way Ubi has implemented this system makes it nearly impossible to cheat.". We're supposed to feel good about that?. I mean honestly we haven't even arrived at the cheating problem. Get the connections straight first then we talk about cheating lul. And I don't wanna get technical but I will..."nearly" is all they need...you only need one guy to crack it and the cheat will spread like wildfire ruining the game once again for everyone. As CFB-Astorius said....they are just being lazy and greedy. p2p is not acceptable. Also I read some1 posting that 1v1 is what matters of these game and that the mediocre horde that tends to play 2v2 and 4v4 will leave eventually...let me tell you that for a game not to die it needs a community and that thiking is not how you build a community. Hell even Ubisoft paid talents to promote the community.

Despite the P2P issue is really important, do you think Ubisoft will change anything? I dont think so.
I thought (and hoped) For Honor would be a great game but in a few months only a small playerbase will keep playing and these are the Duelants (maybe Brawlers) but i assume the other modes will just die fairly quick. Just because P2P is okay for these modes.
