PK light attacks are strong, but not op. They are just different.
The first light attack is actually not that hard to parry, you see red warning you can parry with decent reflex time. It looks a bit slower than warden and orochi top.
However the followup light is way harder to block or parry, and only really good reactive player will be able to do it. But, orochi top light got a free followup so why the peacekeeper light followup should be as easy to block than the first hit?
Her range is really short, so you can play on it, just don t get hit by the light followup, always wait for 2 light if you dont block the first.
The only big benefit it got over orochi, warden etc, is that it can strike in any direction, but you can block / parry the followup and you are expecting it.
Berserker got infinite chain, orochi got a 2 hit light combo + decent fast 3rd light followup. For me it looks balanced, it is strong but not more op than the others assassins or warden top.
Not to mention that it is her main source of burst damage with her zone attack, since heavies are ****ing slow ( plus you cant GB + heavy ), and her other attack are either full bleed or half bleed half instant damage so even if her light being slightly better than other classes that would not make her op.
What are u smoking, the berserker does LESS damage in combo attacks plus he is slower and has NO bleed damage whatsoever.Originally Posted by FBWilson Go to original post
According to this forum every class is underpowered anyways. You should all calm down a bit, few classes are actually too weak, PK is certainly none of them.
So if i understand you correctly you are saying, rely on the moves that every other class can use and ignore your classes unique playstyle entirely outside of a combo that sorta just exists, that bleed is fairly insignificant and due to her low base damages due to the perceived power in her bleed (there isnt currently) doesnt amount to much seeing as the enemy technically hasnt taken that damage yet and can outplay it pretty easily.Originally Posted by KelMartigan Go to original post
*side note* why does guard break work against someone who isnt guarding? shouldnt it just be known as just a general grapple then?
Judging straight from this post, you peacekeepers probably got beat my an orchi badly one time and came here to complain. Let me tell you if you complain about a class not being viable try the orochi by all means. Every combo starts from the top, meaning that even if he had the fastest light attack, which he doesn't, all you have to do is block up and you are 100% safe from an orochi. If you consistently get gaurd broken that is 100% your fault because you don't know how to CGB.Originally Posted by SnowFoxDelta Go to original post
Peacekeepers have the fastest lights in the game. You can spam lights with unlimited mixups long before you run out of stamina to kill someone. You hit the first light and the second is even faster than the first. Then after that you can go into a heavy that can be feinted into another blindingly fast light. That hits and the second is basically free again. You repeat this process and you basically one even if they manage to get in a block/hit here and there. I hopped into multiple games with no real knowledge of a peacekeepers move set. All i knew was fast lights and heavy lunge forward and side. I enjoyed a 100% win rate against every class except another peacekeeper. The orochi is the most predicatable class in the game. If he spins in one direction the attack comes from the same direction. If he dashes forward the attack comes from the top. If he's standing still the attack comes from the top/GB. The orochi is useless. Please tell me how to counter a peacekeeper with ease because i haven't figured it out yet. I doubt you have either because you don't take the time to realize what you did wrong and learn from it. If you would like we can 1v1 on PS4 with me using the PK and you using the Orochi and tell me which class is better. The fact that PKs are still fast means next to nothing. The Orochi has more attack options and the Nobushi has more bleed potential and a longer reach. The PK has a tiny heath pool and can no longer do any damage. The only damaging moves are the heavy, a terribly slow and easy to block attack, or the dash in, an even easier one to block. The PK used to be the bleeder class. They took away its bleed and forgot to give it any damage instead.
The PK isn't supposed to be an attacker, it's a counter attacker. The triple stab wasn't a crutch, it was the only thing that did damage. Each class has something special, except now the PK. Orochi are more fluid and can combo better, Berserkers use less stamina and hit harder, Nobushi bleed more and have more area control, and all other classes have increased guard speed, making the sideways poke, the only other thing that did any damage, useless. She is outclassed in every way by the Orochi. Orochi has a safer side attack, guaranteed double hit on top, hidden stance overhead, faster and safer zoning and heavy attacks, and just more damage potential overall.
I don't want the PK to be OP. I want her to be usable.
Please explain if peacekeeper is so op then why when i go to duel is there a garunteed 85% chance that its #1 orochi, #2 nobushi, #3 berzerker/wardenOriginally Posted by mrdjwess645 Go to original post
I couldn't agree more. I played peacekeeper through the open beta up until now, and I find that she is much weaker. While she started out a little bit more powerful than the other characters, I feel that she's hit a point where she's almost unusable. The amount of damage you do compared to other classes that have much more health seems about the same, and the range on her dodge is pointless because many attacks still hit. By pushing another player, it's very high risk with almost no reward, because if you make any mistake on the attack, you lose a large chunk of your health, and if you do land a combo, the enemy loses no noticeable amount of health. I enjoy the peacekeepers style of fighting, but she is currently very underwhelming.
(Update- I've been messing around with the peacekeeper lately, and now I do not believe that she is weak. The peacekeeper needs to be played in a specific style, and can still be used effectively in the hands of a skilled player.)
How played a class is does not determine how strong a character is. The warden is really strong for top tier play because he has a versatile kit. The orochi is popular because you can easily kill people are are just learning the game. Nobushi has everything going for it right now. The Nobushi is not op however as pressure causes the class to crumple due to slow movement speed. Im telling you now if you play on ps4 we'll play 1v1 with each other classes and see which one is stronger. Im a prestige 3 orochi and have a 90% W/L record in duel but tell me how a class i dont even know the full kit for has 92% W/L. I'll wait because evidently you don't know half of your own class and i evidently know more just by playing against them constantly.Originally Posted by SnowFoxDelta Go to original post
