Something really must be done because as good as the game itself is, this networking solution renders it, at times, unplayable. Nothing is more frustrating than error codes at matchmaking, or when a good match falls apart because of network errors. Or even after a match is completed, sometimes we don't get any rewards because the game can't retrieve data from the servers, or from wherever. I'm not an IT guy either but I don't think it's our job to tell the developers what should be done in order to improve the game. This state For Honor is currently in is unacceptable. It would be even if it was a free-to-play game but it's a full-priced release (and a quite good one, too). People invest much money in it. It simply can't stay in this state otherwise players will leave it in weeks. And again, just to clarify there's nothing wrong with our internet connections either. Every other game (including Ubisoft titles) runs more or less problem-free.
UBISOFT, DO SOMETHING PLEASE!
I agree its a major problem, and the reason I didn't buy the game. What you describe is basically what I experienced in closed and open beta. Many people wrote feedback on the forums about it, but there was no official statement from the company about resolving the issue (and there still isn't). A part of me still wanted to buy it because the game itself (when I was able to connect to a match) was a lot of fun, but you have to be realistic: there was no way they were going to be able to fix an issue like that, especially given they didn't even acknowledge it was an issue.
Btw like you, I am baffled by the focus on nerf/buffs etc when there are obviously many people around the world that have been sold what is essentially a faulty product. The very basis of the game (multiplayer pvp battles) doesn't work properly. I really think people should request charge backs on their credit cards if the firm is not going to give a refund for an unplayable game.

it is at least a lesser problem with the pc. yes some of my friends get desconnections, or other players in the other team. for me i did not had one disconnection during both beta's and also not after the release.Originally Posted by Bzuzu Go to original post
sometimes i have problems to join a group of friends, but that problem is solved by restart the game. but during a match i never have any problems.
did you all have to re-join your groups as well? every time i play with my friend it kills our group... even when it connects one of us and lets the other in. always ends up being whoever got booted then has to invite the other to get him out of the match which is a pain on it's own (pc invites aren't properly set up), and that leaves a bot in the game for whichever team was sad enough to have had us.Originally Posted by FAST_Noobushi Go to original post
Actually I had the same problems. I got disconnected for no reason, sometimes in the game after 10 sec. then after 1 min or even up to the last stand where we were winning and then BAM ! disconnected. error ending on 0006000018 or something like this.
Now after doing some research, it turned out that my Norton (smart firewall) was so kind to see some people that connected to the same battle / match as suspicious and it blocked the connection, resulting in a disconnection.
I then got info from Ubisoft to add For Honor and Ubiplay to the firewall and give unlimited connections. However that does not work for the fact that I didnt got disconnected from The game totally but just from the battle.
basically, the match / battle is seen as a separated thing outside For Honor and Ubiplay which you cannot add to the firewall restrictions. for this reason every time I play I have to turn off my Norton Smart wall.
after this I have no problems and have not been disconnected ever since, except when my internet was bit bad mood (0006000037 code).
so maybe this helps for some of you. Turn off the Firewall when you play.
Keep in mind that I am NOT defending Ubisoft with this post: You should have made your research beforehand. May this be a lesson for future purchases. It's sad, but you cannot blindly purchase games nowadays.
With that said, I too found the game to be amazing, but I just can't play it. At all. Thanks to Red Nat. I played it on a friends account and that made me give up on getting the game, at least for now. P2P was a mistake.
