    Gaming on P2P Servers

I often find myself wondering how I didn't deflect or block or dodge an attack, and I typically put it down to mistiming or not yet understanding the mechanic (like not being able to counter a GB after missing a GB myself) until yesterday when my friend played on my PC and I saw him complaining about the same thing. This time, however, from a third person perspective, I could see him suffering from the same problems as me; except this time I could see it clearly, whereas I could only 'feel' it before.

I am 99% sure this game is suffering from a pretty bad case of P2P hosting latency. I don't see any explanation for a blockable attack getting through a block other than latency.

Am I the only one experiencing this? If this is a legitimate problem, would it even be possible to ever get dedicated servers?

I gave up in a duel earlier where, after several occasions, I pressed dodge as the damage indicator flashed and still got hit. I REALLY hope I'm wrong, as I REALLY want to enjoy this game, but if I'm going to have to just tolerate latency ******** then this game will be dead to me very soon.

    Just dont misslead yourself.
In dedicated server there is still a matter of latency so you would not be saved off of this.
Even it has some negatives, P2P has also its positives. And no, imho they - if they spend so much time to do it P2P, they will not just miraculously bring dedicated servers at the moment. Maybe never. And if they would, they would either loose control over the game, servers, rewards and all the systems, or they would make this game payed monthly. This genre is not something what would keep 100k players with monthly payment.

..."P2P" and "Servers" is not very lucky connection

You two are referring "dedicated servers" as two different things. Kitten is talking about dedicated servers in the classic sense as they pertain to online shooters, but Xir is just talking about servers that will handle all of the online trafficking, rather than simply facilitating a p2p situation.

Yes thanks, but I am not mentioning only those shooters servers but also covering routing to that dedicated server etc. If there happen some connection issues on route, you get better chance to have your next match with no issues on P2P than dedicated. But as I told, every method has its own positives and also negatives but none solving the latency issues on its own - without any other tweaks.
Imho xirx is not referring to any kind of dedicated with his post and imho they are talking more about those classic servers because ... you know ... every server needs to be payed, if they played a CS on a server where its owner has one server for his hobby, it is ok that he is free to play there. But what about others, who has more servers...they need to have great player base but for honor doesnt have millions...they think if they play lol which is free with micro transactions that for honor is the same but...for honor is not free and has much less player base than that.. maybe they never operate their own servers..I believe
