fix the damn assassins before i lose my mind

orochi, block breaks and heavy attack over and over but you cant block it because theyre too fast. peacekeeper, block breaks and stabs you over and over, lets go dodgeds and does it again. assassins are the cheapest classes in this game. please fix them

Learn to parry and counter guard break?

I find it fun fighting assassins on lawbringer because they are so aggressive almost every time.

Use your head not your class and you will win.

Like I previously said, learn to counter guard break and she will have a hard time doing damage and if you play passive she has to attack (knowing she can not guard break if you counter every time) she will most likely dash attack and that is your chance to parry.

Simply, everyone now uses assassins, or they dodge and attack consecutively, or they only use guerrilla break, it sucks, the game lost its essence that people used the other classes, and now only murderer and nothing more, simply a disgust..

The problem with the "learn the counter gaurd break" argument is that it doesn't... really work.

With the counter GB, especially against Orochi, you have maybe... what, half a second? at most? to counter. And that's only if the server is behaving well enough to register your counter input. And seeing as Ubisoft apparently thinks it's okay to run this game's connection framework on toaster ovens and old calculators, more often than not the input lag will kill any chance you have of reacting to the GB.

In order to "counter" an Orochi gaurd break, you basically need to hit the counter before your enemy even starts attacking. Now, I dunno about you, but I wasn't born with precognition skills. So forgive me if I can't counter a half-second window gaurd break before it bloody well happens.

This, paired with the fact that the Orochi in particular can chain the GB into an unblockable, undodgeable, unavoidable heavy attack that deals a hefty chunk of damage, and how easy it is to just spam the gaurd break over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. The "punishment" for spamming it is... pretty much nonexistent.

Combine this with the fact that even if the stars align and the gods above grant you their blessing and the game servers are somehow running properly, and you manage to counter the gaurd break... Then...? Guess what: Another one is right around the corner.

So cut this "just learn to counter" crap. This mechanic is clearly broken and no amount of trying to dismiss other people as "bad at the game" will fix it.

I totally disagree. You must learn how each class lines up their moves and what they are trying to execute. The orochi is actually quite straight forward compared to a lot of the other characters in the game, which makes playing him well so much harder. If you have a great defense, he almost has no options.

For example, Orochi wants to attack top if possible, so use that against them with their block direction. If you just swing and keep going in on him, of course he will beat you to the punch. His speed is mostly his only tool (barring counting things like deflect). He has significantly less life, an inferior block, no unblockables, and he can't throw you more than a 1 foot so no throwing people off ledges. He also doesn't have any mix-ups line shoulder charge into guard break.

What you say about GB just isn't true. You need to work on your timings. You don't have to take my word for it, just go out there and try guard breaking a good player. He'll keep throwing you off.

Also, you are wrong about the guard break window. Orochi's isn't smaller than anyone else - they are all the same.

I so utterly agree with you. I just came out of an Elimination match(s), utterly sick to death of the OPness of the Assassin class , i think of my self to as a good player, i cant win them all. But the fact that they can light attack combo you all the dam time is just wrong. I've tried to dodge, get out of the way or attack them but they move out the way too dam fast and just go in for the kill all the time. i try everything any one tells me to about them and when i try it just the same crap all over again, None stop combo.
