I have not been in the community very long, but I cannot seem to find anymore information on the 6 new heroes Ubisoft said they would release. I assume that we will get one at then end of this season. Any idea of what they may be for each faction? I am Samurai, and I am having a hard time picturing anything else aside from ninja (which is already what Orochi is supposed to be similar to.)
Any thoughts or info?
Well, if you take a look at the poster that was shown when they announced the season pass, then you can see 6 figures, we already know 4 of them, Conq, Orochi, Warden, Raider. But on the front then there's 2 guys we don't know, one which seems to be a shinobi wearing a headband and wielding a Duel Kama, and someone who looks... kinda... i don't know, Greek?

I've been involved with HEMA since 2008, trained in German style Longsword, arming sword & shield and Quarterstaff, I've also studied Kendo during my school days.Originally Posted by SiewcaRaka Go to original post
One thing is for sure, we are constantly reconstructing historical manual scripts and adding/modifying new techniques to our arsenals. As of right now, many of the HEMA styles are actually more complete, as a combat martial art, than some of the mainstream Japanese equivalent (like Kendo and Judo which is actively reducing the number of techniques).
It's called learning. I never understood why people think knowledge is a bad thing depending on where you get it from...Originally Posted by Deus-Vultt Go to original post
Please name a few so I could do some cross training.Originally Posted by SiewcaRaka Go to original post
Thank you greatly.Originally Posted by SiewcaRaka Go to original post
That's very true, some of the same techniques I practiced back in 2008 are looking a lot different nowadays, that's why we are constantly modifying them for them to make more sense.
I love weapons from all countries and styles, I also love cross training with different practitioners, we've had exchanges from many different schools of Kendo, Kumdo, Chinese swordsmanship and even a Polish saber team 2 years ago. But I do respect the tradition and philosophy your school, I'm content just to check them out.
Yea, one definitely looks like a Roman legionnaire and the other looks more like another farmer using sickles for weapons vs ninja/shinobi type. That still leaves vikings as well....
I was kind of hoping they would go pan-asian and incorporate Korean or Chinese elements along with Samurai.
Legionnaire will be interesting because their armor was mostly leather, so I would anticipate a quick moving, heavy damage style, perhaps in between Warden and PK play styles.
Legionnaire used maile, scale and later plate. Leather wasn't used very much actaully. But they are indeed fast, i just wonder what they will give him here since they we're vest fighting in formation. And his armor on the season pass looks weird, i don't think that's actual roman armor.Originally Posted by Scar1078 Go to original post
Check out: Segmentata, Hamata, Squamata, Plumata, Musculata If you want to learn some more about roman armors (they come from different time periods however).
