Armor was changed in 1.6 to health because it was a must have stat for everybody rezulting in no build diversity.
Just finished watching Marcos's video and i'm starting to think Masive are clueless about the inner workings of this game. A kid like him has more knowledge about it them them.

Guess i'll stick a bit longer with the game but year two must blow my mind in order for TD to hold my attention for long.
This may be taken as irony given my above post, but it ain't really that bad. It is a fairly complete restructure of the games equipment, but it ends up back at the same stop as before the patch. DPS/AR builds will dominate and one or two sets of gear will be the new meta. It really won't be "less" anything as much as just shuffling the deck that already exists.Originally Posted by Disturbed59 Go to original post
The problem in my opinion is the corporate money grab has completely changed the games industry. It isn't that Massive or Redstorm are doing things "wrong" they just have zero connection to the actual creation of the game and it shows. They were handed a woefully incomplete game and tasked with what may be an impossible mission - to both finish development and manage the property. This is difficult when the original product was likely a collaboration of disparate entities such as contractors and consultants who are only there for the paycheck.Originally Posted by Andrewszed Go to original post
It seems like no one has a real clue what is going on because they likely do not have a clue what is going on. It shines through rather brightly at this point.
(But it seems with Wildlands all these problems are ten times worse, so at least The Division is a fairly solid game up to level 30. Selling beta tests for AAA prices is how the industry now works.)

Dunno what to tell you mate - you watch other people's opinion to form your own opinion whilst having zero clue about the subject, then berate somebody else for knowing less than the person you formed your opinion on. I don't think you know enough to call out Massive for not knowing their stuff.
Marco describes that you get more "free Stamina" with +Health major stats than you would get "free Electronics" with +Skill Power.
Marco does NOT prove that that means you get the same amount of SKILL STRENGTH, i.e. skill stats. Skill Power isn't linear, and for every skill their stats change and grow at different rates relative to to skill power increases.
Everyone who has since 1.6 PTS discussed how the stat spread is between Stamina/Electronics and +Health/+Skill Power major stats has failed to bring attention to how much %DR you lose from Smart Cover for picking Stamina, or how much healing strength you get from First Aid, etc.
And since all skills also have base level of stats + variable amount within a certain range, X% skill power doesn't mean X% stats. It means B + X%. Which is actually a much lower percentage increase.
Ultimately the benefit from all base stats is about the same. Picking +Health Major isn't the only choice.
You can't relate Health to Skill Power. So comparing how much free Stamina and Electronics you get by choosing +Health or Skill Power is pointless.
Why do you think Marco pointed the bad things? His video is brilliant and after playing a bit on the PTS, I know that I will do at least a build based on Electronics, with minimum firearms to unlock the talents. Or I'll go full Electronics AlphaBridge. But his video just gave me more hope in my own calculations.
Math is Math and I can't argue against any of his choices.Originally Posted by ceekay.sickart Go to original post
The first thing he says is you can only go 2 ways in 1.6 either Firearms or Electronics(so it's one or the other) yet we have 3 main stats to spec into (Firearms/Health/Electronics) doesn't seem much diversity to me if only 2 of the 3 are viable or worth specking into.
Either way I probably won't install 1.6 because there is nothing worth playing in it.
