Yes! During both betas I thought the sounds of weapons and explosions were very flat. I thought that would be fixed on release. I made mention to the minigun on vehicles being soft.......to the point where you can't even hear it during convoy missions especially. I began to think it was just the audio settings on my tv but that wasn't the case bc I tested the sound on another game and explosions and guns sounds were great. Also I noticed shooting an lmg and about half way through a 150 round mag, vibration in the controller goes out. I play on ps4
I will agree that the weapon audio is coming across dull (Xbox one). I am not saying the actual chosen sound for the gun is poor, but the quality of the sound that is relayed is "flat" as the OP would attest, making the weapon sound further away from the ear than it actually is. Sound quality is very important especially when becoming immersed in the game. The best example (and only an example) I can provide is the perfection of sound quality from EA in Battlefield 1 and 4. Perhaps adding sound quality in the settings, weapon volume, or overall attributing enhancements to making the weapon claps more "crispy" would be a beneficial addition that our community would enjoy.
Thanks and cheers!
I have A50 headset. The 5.1 sound is ok (I guess). But I heard better sounds than this. I can hear footsteps (Including mine and my other teammates). I can hear rocks falling off as I prone to the edge of the mountain. The helicopter sound, I guess that's how it sounded. I can't really point out where it's coming from. I can hear the citizen shouting for tamales and know exactly where it's coming from. I guess the sound has something to do with the settings, the bass on my headset will cause me to have bleeding ears for the next following months.
Oddly enough this game sounds better with headphones over a surround sound system.Originally Posted by Jackfrostxx Go to original post
