What do you guys think could be a new faction and would fit the playstyle? I'm not suggesting or asking What do you WANT, but whether what is most likely/possible.
The Criteria is that the Faction must have atleast 4 warriors available.
I Personally Think that Gladiators would fit well, as they are diverse in weapons and all + have many varieties and aesthetic would fit as well.
No, no new factions or magic or any of this garbage. They are having a hard enough time with what they have in the game already, not to mention the three factions make a somewhat historical sense. Throwing in a long extinct empire would take a bit of the immersion out of the game. First Romans, then damned space aliens.
Wow you know how to escalate stuff sure. Like Samurais in their historically accurate wooden armor fighting full plate knights and slicing the armor in half isnt immersive breaking, but adding Gladiators somehow is, and it also brings space alien magics with it too..Originally Posted by o0 DaGnOmE 0o Go to original post
Gladiators Really tho have so much variety, Spear and dagger, Trident and net, along with dual wielding gladiuses and a murmillo with a big shield
Arabs / Indians for sure. They have a wide range of vartial arts and weapons and around same era. Not sure if we'll see those 2 factions combined into 1 or as separate but pretty sure one both or together they'll appear in the game.
Native Americans perhaps? Also around same time zone so it'd be quite cool to see them.
Ancient ROmans and Ancient Greeks we will likely not be seeing.
All current factions are around 15th-18th century +-
Ancient Romans and Ancient Greeks are 15 centuries too far behind so unlikely we'll be seeing those, but i'd prefer ancient greeks over romans though do keep in mind there was no such variety in weapons as the more modern 15th century + people.
Romans especially fought only in groups, Centuries and Legions never alone, Romans were not made to fight solo, their entire existance was all about them formations.
Greeks are kind of similar but it is historically correct that spartans for one were incredibly skilled warriors so if devs decide to say- screw the time frame we have currently and lets add some time space teleporting Ancient Greeks / Romans, it'd be quite funny.
I place my bets on next faction being Arabs / Indians combined faction![]()
see? that's where you're wrong.Originally Posted by o0 DaGnOmE 0o Go to original post
Vikings, Samurai and Knights are all about same time era +- and they were not the only groups at that time to be fighting
Arabs, Indians, Native Americans, African tribes.
Chinese, Koreans, Mongols.
Slavs.
There's plenty of cultures that existed at that timeso saying adding another faction wouldn't make any sense is silly simply because there's plenty of factiosn within same time period who could get dragged in and added.
Ancient ROmans / Ancient Greeks / Ancient Mayans are well...called Ancient for a reason so adding them wouldn't make any sense but there's plenty of others
If Ubi were to introduce a new faction, I would rather just see them as mercenaries. That way they can add what we want from each of the factions that you guys have listed up above. Like we can have a Gladiator Vanguard, a ninja/Zulu assassin, a Praetorian heavy, and the best part is, since they aren't part of a faction they wouldn't have to limit them to only 1 hero per type.
The cultures he specified would not be even in the same time period as the three we have now. Sure the actual fights wouldn't exist but time line wise they are relatively ok. Everyone always wants more, and then they add more people complain more. Y'all ever heard the phrase "The less moving parts in a machine the less maintenance it requires"? If you have once complained about "OP" characters and want them to add more factions then you should stop suggesting things for the current game. Maybe For Honor 2 can focus on a more roman time but to rework the whole faction war and character balance to compensate for a new faction and hero set would throw the game way off, I mean just look at the amount of complaints out there now. Keep it the way it is and elaborate on what they have already. Also, they have three of the four directions covered, and the faction war map maybe, MAYBE has room for one more faction from the south but it would have to make sense in the context of the game.
Not really the vikings we have here are like 8-9th century later knights of normandy and scandinavians were dressed completely differently.Originally Posted by vkmicro Go to original post
