Elimination & Skirmish Orders Need Combined | Forums

Simple suggestion - I think all Orders that are for "Elimination" or "Skirmish" game modes should be consolidated and changed to just the Deathmatch mode.

The reason I am suggesting this change is from my recent frustration of trying to complete a "get 50 eliminations in Elimination (PvP)."

Since the Elimination and Skirmish game modes are combined into the same queue, a lot of times you will be placed into a Skirmish game, when all you want to play is Elimination to complete your order. All kills in the Skirmish mode do not contribute to the completion of the Order. As a result, it is better for the player to quit at the start when a Skirmish match is joined, and requeue. Not only is this annoying for the player, it also makes the game he left more frustrating for the players that remain as a Bot takes your place, and when people queue for a Pvp match, they expect to fight humans.

So my remedy to this is simply make the Orders require you play any PvP Deathmatch game. That way you can continue progressing your Order in either a game of Elimination or Skirmish, and keep people from frequently quitting, just because the match type they needed didn't come up.

Even with preferred mode, its not a guarantee, and I don't have anything against Skirmish or Elimination, but I completely agree with the OP about how orders need to apply to both since we cannot pick, otherwise they are needlessly frustrating and not due to challenge, but to matchmaking. Its just more pain than its worth to endure the matchmaking issues and add to that the randomness of getting Skirmish or Elimination, and the orders themselves. I ended up giving up on those because i got tired of dealing with those problems. Matchmaking issues in general have me already kinda losing interest in this game. I am hoping it can get fixed, or at least hold me over until Horizon Zero Dawn is released at this point.
