Not having dedicated servers for this game is absolutely embarassing Ubisoft

P2P this day in age????? ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING US?!?!?!

Get your *&%$ together and get servers up ASAP. Duel and brawl mode are a disaster due to the micro lag. Ive seen players ghost in dominion at least 15 times now. This is the most embarrassing display of inept direction Ive seen from a major dev and distributor in a VERY long time.
This game would be pretty much perfect if you could actually play multiplayer without having to worry about the host taking off when he is losing, or the connection straight up DROPPING 7 out of 10 matches.

You asked for 100 dollars for the gold edition, for a game that has no servers???? HAHAHA
If you don't put servers up on this, then every one of you managing this project are gonna get laughed at and questioned for every AAA title you ever bring out from now on; hopefully get fired for it as well. It would be the least you deserve for an oversight this big.

Put servers up and fix the problem YOU created. The single player mode IS NOT worth 60 bucks, let alone 100. This game is all multiplayer. So act like it.

    Signed-

PRETTY MUCH ANYONE WHOS PLAYING THIS GAME

    Well yes and no.

Whats more embarrassing however is buying a game with such a glaring error in the first place.
There was a open beta where people like myself complained about this exact problem. But the threads that got the most attention were "Bahhh there are champions where I cant pick my gender." Millennials truely the smartest generation.

Let me explain. For a company such as Ubi, which shells out games not for the long run but for the pre/day1-sales its a pretty easy equation.
Do we invest in servers or hype? Do we pay streamers to hype our game or do we do something that actually makes the game good?
And since all you monkeys go and buy the game anyway it makes no sense for them to make a longtime investment into a single product. They rather spend the money on advertisement to catch a couple of thousand more gullible teenagers with access to their parents credit card.

So, no, its not embarrassing that Ubi does this. Its a company they are using a business model that works rather well which makes it, by definition, a success.
What is embarrassing is that their customer base lets them get away with it. And many, if not most, people will still fall for the exact same trick 6 month later with the next HYPE game.
Which btw will all be p2p now because if you haven't noticed they didn't invest in servers, no. What they did however do is dedicate development time (=money) into a new and "revolutionary" p2p system which they want to use for pretty much everything in the future because its cheap.

P2P is optimal for a fighting game. It makes no sense to have hundreads of thousands of servers for a 1v1 game.

Ladies and gentleman we have an expert.

No you do not have hundreds of thousands of servers. First of all you rent server these days usually from Amazon these days, you know like Netflix and Blizzard does. Second... you realize there is such a thing as multitasking do you think there are only like 5 players on every server "hundreds of thousands"... sure.

And I am not even going to really address the its "optimal" argument because when people say that they mean 1v1 games. Even then its not true but to understand that you need at least a rudimentary understanding of... I guess games which you clearly do not have.

to be honest there P2P system is alot better than most where 1 person is a server host, insaid they have 1 person set up the connection between ever1 in the server and in a nut shell every1 becomes a host as the data being sent to every1

and to be honest only reason see micro lag as you say would be your connection to other person ie the person could be on the other side of the planet other wise i never see it

here is a example they give on how there P2P works

but for dedicated servers to work the best for the money would be the same way CS:GO works where the boxes start up a virtral server as a host and still use a p2p set up so basicly there current way but like a pyrimid were every1 conects to every1 an also connects to the server and really only seeing it be handy is in the 4 vs 4 modes 1v1 and 2v2 p2p should work just fine well dose for me anyway

I don't care if it's P2P or Dedicated Servers! I just want to be able to play the game in peace without disconnecting before the start or end of every single match!

    So many disconnections

Title. Just about to complete a match, BOOM! disconnect. NO exp, loot. Nothing. Nought towards the order. It's full on ********....but i'll keep playing cos I live in a disillusioned world where Ubisoft actually give a **** about their customers.

The traditional vs FH p2p graph is missing the most important component on the FH side, which is the session host. Its presumable the machine that does most of the syncing.

Which means when that guy dcs a new session host must take over and all clients will to sync with that machine. I assume that is why this time warp **** happens that I saw twice while watching 5 minutes of gameplay.

I have no idea how the protocol deals with syncing, which obviously has to happen for anything other than 1v1. There has to be an authoritative state of the game when two clients disagree and I assume that is a big part of what the session host does.
So keeping that in mind how does the game deal with a situation where you fight 2 people at once. One with a ping of 32 and another is a guy from China with a ping of 480. Probably not fun.

Anyway the system as it is right now is apparently ****.
Everyone can watch the Battlenonsense analysis of FH it seems the game adds a flat 110+ delay and does not use a consistent tick rate between clients.
That sound so good for competitive game.

Also remember to look at your netstats when playing a streamer... ip leak galore.
