What the Hell is wrong with the Lawbringers guard

why is it so slow, against fast attacks you can't change guard, you get a PK going ham on you with light attacks, you can't do a damn thing if they change position every time.

i'm starting to realise why the LawBringer and Shugoki were left out of so many tests, they are both broken, just in opposite ways

    Yep.

Lawbringer can't switch from left to right guard as fast as light attacks are coming in.

Playing against Nobushi? Nobushi has insane range nad just keeps spamming light attacks, you can't even reliably block them.
And even though the Lawbringer has an insane Poleaxe but the same reach as an Orochi, man.

I read in another topic (sorry, can't remember which one), that the guard switch affects your attack (if you want to attack from another side, the guard switch delay prevents you to do it instantly), but does not prevent you from blocking. Which means that it is theorically possible to block every fast attack coming at you, even if the stance changes. Maybe the issue here is more related to lag, or simply reaction time not being fast enough.

However, i'm not 100% sure about this, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

you're statement would hold true, if i was attacking, but i'm not i'm only trying to block. and i don't have any where near the same problem with other characters. i will say that i think changing guard accross the board feels a little sluggish to what it used to be.

but the LB stands out in a class of his own on the front. he seems noticeably slower than the rest

I also noticed this immediately upon picking him up.

this has been consistently observed by a lot of players, yeah. The lawbringers guardchange is slower, for some inexplicable reason. Peacekeeper lights are litterally faster than his guard change. On top of that, his attacks are slow to begin with, and from what i understand, switching attack side will slow the attacks as well, even in chains. The most infamous example is the warden's top heavy. If you have your guard at top position, you can land a top heavy after throwing people into a wall. If you are in a side position before you do the throw, it will be slower and it will be blocked.
