Conqueror vs Shugoki | Forums

So I started playing today, focused on dueling. Gravitated to the Conqueror. I'm new and terrible, but generally having fun. But I don't think though that I've managed to do better than take any Shugoki to five rounds and that because of a couple of throws into hazards.

Mostly it seems I've got no answers and no ability to interrupt them or block them and certainly can't trade blows with them.

I don't think his non overhead unblockable swings can be dodged, or at least I haven't figured out how yet. Nor the charge bear hug attack. Can it be dodged? I have dodged other characters attacks with some success so I get diving sideways but not so with this big Bastard.

Is this match really this lopsided or am I missing something?

Unblockable attacks can be parried, the health steal grab can be dodged, guard breaking them removes their hyper armor even if they tech it. This alone should help you beat most of them.

Unblockable swing can be parried, and yes you can dodge Demon's Embrace unless you're in extremely limited space. Try Shugoki and play custom duel against AI Conqueror.

Shuogki is probably the worst at cracking defense, so if you go full passive & shield bash spamming, I don't imagine you will be having major problems.
