I'm really struggling to get into any game since launch i keeps getting the multiplayer time out screen every single time, i think I have had maybe one dominion match that didn't last long because i got kicked and now all of a sudden i cant find any 1v1 matches it tells me "game found" then keeps looking for "one more player" but it never happens and i get the multiplayer timeout the only mode i can play is 1v1 vs AI and thats it nothing else will let me play unless i create a custom game of that version but what the point because i will never be able to earn steal or rank up.

i too have been plagued with this issue, although not near as bad as some of you...
something that usually works well on the console is to preform a soft restart.. its simple, hold the power button on your Xbox until it shuts itself off. wait about 15-20 sec. push again to restart.. this clears out the cache, freshening things up a bit...
one problem i was having was the orders... i could select 1 and 3 but 2 was missing, played like that for a few days.. finally did the reboot, fixed it...
i'm used to doing trouble shooting with the Xbox... although a lot of the issues are on Ubisoft's servers, a number of bug fixes like above can be taken care of right on your home box.
as for Ubisoft's servers? come on guys, its from one of the creators of the Battlefield franchise, give them a good 6 months, then the servers will be flawless!! lol
I've put my 'World Of Tanks' keys back on the pegboard for this game, i like it a lot, i would say other then the server issues, the territories are unbalanced, if one faction has 100 people online, and another has 25.. both have a 50%win ratio.. the first faction will destroy the second .. numbers = wins... seems a lot like call of duty clan wars.... not that this is a problem

oh yeah.. check your NAT type, and another good trick is to refresh your MAC address, this is usually reserved for chat issues, but it doesn't hurt, you can do his by gong into:
All settings> Network> Network settings> Advanced settings> Alternate MAC address> Clear... your system will prompt for a reboot... reboot, and your done.
SO MANY other companies have figured this out. Blizzard, Riot, Hi-Rez, EA, Activision (part of Blizzard now I know but before that), even the studio that created Rocket League (which is practically an indie game) ALL have acceptable matchmaking without tons of "network errors".
So Ubisoft, I ask you this: HOW DO YOU SUCK SO BAD!? It is completely unacceptable. Seriously, you need to start poaching online devs from these other companies and fire everyone you have on staff currently.
Are you useing a Static Routable Public IP for your Xbox...did you change the dns to googles...8.8.8.8....have you a dmz to a static ip with using like (198.169.X ipv4 or are you using ipvg on you lan as well. Do you have?
Are are we doing wrong...I am beginning to think. I need a static routable WAN address direct to my xbox...or is it others who we really on to have to rely" on to set up correctly....Why can't we select LOCAL region only!!!!!!!! If this is a regional thing...
I feel like have run the gammit and alot of the articles conserning Ubisofts p2p decision rather than going and paying for dedicated servers....but I am a network admin by trade and just want a solution.or work around. Would IPV6 on the local side work better....
What are you guys using? that you are not have constant disconnects.....MY NAT is always green as I am DMZ to the xbox and net stats have 24ms to server and dns is now 8.8.8.8...still getting disconnetions...HELP!!!
Folks shouldn't have to set the XBone into a DMZ to play this game. I don't. However, I do clear my cache and reset the MAC weekly. That generally keeps up the game performance. But after this update, can't connect to PVP or stay connected to PVP. Lag is super bad even if I can stay in a match. An then, after half a match, guess what...network error!
The match making system is stupid. You can only tell who the host is if they leave, which could be a rage quit, a microwave, or a cell phone. OR IT'S UBISOFT! Be nice to see who the host is before starting a match and having an option to leave if their connection looks red. And cut the wait time in half.
This is my only gripe about this game really.Looks nice, sounds good, and is rather unique gameplay. Hopefully, UBI can sort this network crap out.
Two days in a row now I have been trying to complete a single order. Two straight days of nothing but disconnects and drops. Is there actually an end in sight or do I need to just stop playing your game. I'm tired of constantly having to jump through hoops for a game that I paid $100 for only to get very little to no enjoyment out of it
This is some of the dumbest problems I've had in a game since playing games on the OG Xbox smh. The matchmaking system is just completely broken and what makes it worse is that Ubi had an alpha, closed & open beta to see this coming and fix the problem. What was the point of having all these beta's before the game if the game would still be broken when it's released. I'm tired of getting into games and having them slow down to a crawl with lag and then getting disconnected. Then friends aren't getting my friends request and have to restart the game, it's just ridiculous. It's things like this that stop me from buying a companies next game and seeing that Ghost Recon is coming out soon, no way I'm buying that game at all, not until I see how the servers hold up cause even with this open beta for that game coming out now, we all know the final game will run like crap as well.
This didn't work for South Africa even when you get groups together and match make at the same time it does not find anyone and you get the match making error, it feels like the region match making is only prioritizing US and Europe and that's a problem, normally with any other game South Africa should fall under Europe and we can play MP games with no issues what so ever i think the match making is flawed in the regions regard, Please help and please dont give me that link to "fix your ports" i'm tired of getting that standard reply, its not the ports its the match making that is causing the problem.Originally Posted by eric.pope Go to original post
