    What it feels like, is that they designed him with a certain idea in mind, and that idea caused him to be overpowered, so they tweaked the numbers on things without redesigning and it no longer worked.

    For instance, the long arm. I feel like the original intention was for this to be your serious business "go time" move. Hard to land but when you do it sets you up for some serious damage, for instance what it could have been

    Bully enemy into wall > Parry attack > Longarm > Overhead heavy ( Stun ) > invisible side heavy *

    but now it's Longarm - and the heavy is too slow to not be blocked every time.

    I have a feeling most of his stuff was supposed to work this way, he seems like he was supposed to be rewarded for good counter play but they tweaked something ( probably attack speed) and now nothing works like it was supposed to.

    He's (Almost) Good Enough For Me

    I'm a Reputation 6 Lawbringer, I've found ways to beat my opponents consistently. I can hold my own against anyone I've faced and the only complaint I have is that my side lights are too slow, please buff ubi.

    Absolute number #1 change that must happen:

    Fast guard change speed



    -A confirmed light after a shove
    -reduced stamina on impaling charge
    -uninterruptible heavy attacks
    -longer range side lights

    I have lvl 10 rep with him. You really have to try everthing and be unpredictable against good players, but it can be done. However, i experience biggest problems against too defensive characters who are just standing and waiting for attack. Since you are forced to start fight (i am not one of those waiting players, too boring), there's not much to do to surprise them. Only usefull thing is to feint heavy and go to gb after that (experienced players cancels their parry), and then its all about poking, trying, testing him. Sommetimes i win, sometimes loose, but all the fun is gone, and thats bad. Weapon range doesnt bother me so much, but its true that he should have range like nobushi or kensei, he's wielding a god damn poleaxe. I find his abilities after parries really good, free great dmg heavy after light parry (not against every class though), light riposte against long range character like nobushi. Guard stance change speed is slow, makes it harder to block or parry ultra fast light attacks like warden's top light and zone from left. Big stamina drain seems not so big deal for me, he is not a harraser like PK so if you counter gb and dont get caught on their feints, you can go through exhaustion well (got minimized stamina cost on my axe aswell). You'll have problems against every class if the player is really good, but i experience biggest difficulties against good wardens and shugokis. After all, i think LB deserves a little buff, mb faster attacks or abilities (long arm is really slow), or guard change speed mentioned above.

    Strongly disagree. This would make shove just another headbutt, and I would argue all the spamable attacks with 100% hits (headbutt, shieldbash, sweep) are bad for the game, we don't need more of them.

    This. I was thinking about this - why not try puting armor on some of his attacks, like with Warlord? I'm not sure it would help (he's soooo easy to parry) but I would test it out.

    increase the range of shove from dash and it should grantee a light attack or wall splat maybe both, shove from block remain unchanged

    make his heavy attacks faster and increase their dmg

    make blind justice faster and count as the first part of a combo

    raise the dmg on light riposte and ad a stun

    standardize the block speed across all characters

    increase the range on his side light attacks

    long arm should grantee a heavy

    decrease the stamina cost of his Impaling Charge

    For me the main thing is his guard speed. Yes attacks are too slow but that can be overcome. Mostly by parry.
    Once you parry once or twice opponent stamina is drained and you can attack some. However reach also has to be increased as anyone can now simply step back and LB is unable to get close for any attack or GB.

    But at this point it is nigh impossible to parry anyone at higher levels. Cause the guard stance switch is so slow, this also goes for the parry.
    I've been trying against Bots and friends, if a fast character keeps switching attacks it isn't possible to land a single parry, even when you know where it will come from.

    Sure a opening attack or a routine combo is easily parried, but when someone like PK, Orochi, Warden or Valk keep switching light attacks the guard stance is too slow to react. Be it to block or parry.
    So basicly we just have to take one or two hits before able to block or parry. But even than we can not follow up with anything substantial. GB is too predictable, any other move gets blocked.

    So aparently Lb can change his guard during a forward dash?. He has a dash attack( well it's only from forward dash but you can cancel the ending of it into any basic attack you want. Even parry.) Not very good from up close but.....can be good for distance. However switching guards on the forward dash doesn't allow you to do shove.

    Having played LB halfway to Rep 2, thoroughly struggling yet enjoying every match, I personally feel most of his issues stem from his reach and Stamina.

    I always have issues reaching opponents, somehow even missing heavies on a downed opponent after a forward dash. The reward for constant disabling is minimal with the massive stamina investment and low chip damage needed to sustain pressure and get opponents into a position to deal some REAL damage.

    The bottom line is tha it feels like I have to work harder with Lawbringer for less reward than other heroes, and I'm sure my sentiment is shared with at least a few in here.
