Yes, top light. Then generally wait for them to attack again and parry or just use a light attack. Also push hard and start w/ a guardbreak. Never start w/ heavy attacks. Also knowing your combos is key. Feinting on your final unblockable doesn't do as much damage but most players will bite on the feint.

That is if any of you people who are so quick to label a class sh*t even know what a feint is and what its purpose is.

Really? I was wrong on this one then. I guess it's because he's so bad at fighting against everyone that I felt as if he didn't have much health.

The bugged guard is crazy annoying. It feels like there's a half second input lag on it or something.

And he's a good newb stomper, shove ftw, but anyone claiming consistent wins at high level is in for a shock if they ever show people their mmr.

Guard break after a Shove isn''t guaranteed. Anyone with half a brain will expect it going up against a Lawbringer.

It doesn't take long to master a character and most of us have played the Alpha and/or Beta so are experienced at the game. The Lawbringer is so damn slow that feinting doesn't help at all against even an average player. Neither do you have the stamina for it. I'm sure most of us here weren't so quick as to label him as trash without even testing him. I myself have used him almost exclusively since release. To put it simply, the Lawbringer has nothing unique about him. Everything he can do, other classes can do better.

Lawbringer is fine. I played him quite a bit now - about 12 hours - and I'm at ~70% winrate in duels right now. The only thing that kills me consistently is guard break spammers. It's so damn hard to time the GBC and there is no downside at all to spamming it. If they atleast changed it so you lost like 2/3 of your stamina if your GB gets countered, then I'd be happy with it. But right now I counter 3/4 guard breaks and then the 4th takes away a quarter of my health. With how hard it is as the slow Lawbringer to do anything about getting spammed with guard breaks, there's just not enough of a downside to doing it. I enjoy every match that doesn't involve guard breaking and I played like 20 rounds with some guy today who had the same mindset and we had the time of our life. But then later this evening I played like 5 matches and was ready to throw my controller into orbit again. If they don't fix guard breaks I will certainly quit this game.

Also: Why does Ubi think it necessary for me to fill in Captcha codes when I have paid games on my account?

I have taken my Lawbringer to lvl 20 and I agree with everything here the OP has said.

I have to agree with the stamina. It really depletes rather quickly for him which creates a lot of "Dead" time when trying to regain.

When it comes to the combos though I've found them pretty effective, those parries are super important to land as it guarantee's chain with the unblockable light attack, combined with the shove and the overhead attack it makes them really deadly.

EDIT: Oh and the charging push stab thing, you land them against a wall thats a guaranteed heavy attack. At least in my experience.

Parries guarantee what chains now? You don't get any chains from parrying. And if you're talking about his longest combo, it only works on AFK players. Let's say you start it by guard breaking someone and using side heavy, let's assume they even get hit by the subsequent light, but what kind of a living, breating organism will get hit by the next heavy attacking that HAS to come from above? Like, what was that combo made for, killing captains in PvE faster?

I think he meant that it can chain into an unblockable heavy combo from the light reposte, and it can, but no one who is any good will stand still for it. Even the AI is good about breaking targetting and rolling backwards from those chains, that are very slow, very telegraphed, and only smoke noobs. Its even more pathetic that his range is shorter than assassins with a freaking polearm, and they side dodge through the weapon all the time. He is basically a Raider, in that he relies on heavy chains for alot of his damage, but he is out of stamina after doing his combo once and cannot maintain any pressure. Also trying to compensate for the garbage stamina means speccing gear for stamina regen instead of attack or defense, both of which would better serve him. He is just too gimpy in too many ways.

Honestly, I think the character has problems, which will be properly punished once the game's been out longer.

Right now, there isn't a lot of experience with the Lawbringer. Give it time, I'm sure people will start capitalizing on its faults a lot more often.
