Make offensive skills scale with firearms

I have an ingenuous idea to solve the whole skills debacle. Massive should make offensive skills like seeker mines, turrets and sticky bomb scale with firearms for damage. Electronics should contribute to cooldown reduction. That way a build with high firearms will have super high cool down but a deadly offensive skill whereas a pure electronic build would have extremely low cooldowns but would do little damage. This way you could build a hybrid firearms/electronics build that could work as an offensive skills build, thus satisfying those begging for a wizard build.

But then we would get all these whiners complaining that skills still killed them and they took no skill to use.

    I know, I shouldn't feed the troll.

No.... This would make literally DPS builds the only viable option and then some. There would be zero point for support builds as everyone could just throw 4 sets of seekers at the start of an engagement and mop everyone up with guns as soon as the seekers hit the ground. This is a poor idea.

You know the more I think about this it really makes sense.

Make skills when having below 5k electronics have something like 5 minute cool down, then every 1k above 5k it reduces the cool down for like a minute. So if you have 7k electronics then you have 3 minute cool downs on your skills. Of course we would cap that at 2 minutes. Then remove all armor from Electronic mods making it so you can only stack either Signature resource gain, or Haste (but the joke would be on you since stacking too much electronics would render haste ineffective). That would be perfect!!! That way when you were PVPing you didn't have to worry about anything other than shooting people. Or maybe just let the skills be One hit Kills, but you have to get so many Kills (like maybe 30 or 50) before they become active? Im sure we could figure out a way to make this game more like COD.

The super long cool down is what kills the mage build. NOT the power.

What if you had to reload your magazine one round at a time?
Exactly my point, if the mage build is rendered useless due to the long cool downs then this idea would allow for very short cool downs.

No. You're suggesting low cool downs in exchange for doing no damage.
You guys are all just trolling now and it's become beyond ridiculous.

How about stacked firearms builds get faster reloads and extremely low DPS?
Yeh but damage comes from firearms.

Marvellous idea ... 400K DPS and a one shot sticky every 60 seconds as well. I know you aren't serious and are just having fun here (like your PvE DZ suggestion) but .... NO!!!
