I would even venture to suggest if you have "fake" sword fights on a video game and not in real life, with real steel, and actual consequences, you are also a coward... But then we would just be arguing semantics wouldn't we?
To each their own, I will continue to play "honorably" in duel and brawl, and continue to win games in 4v4 modes.
P.S: Can we stop naming video games? People take them way, WAY, too literally. Honestly, we could probably get away with calling this something like "That sword game that just released", and in time "Remember that sword game?"... That would avoid some confusion for some consumers I think... Just a thought...
I love to fight 1vs2/3 .... but i hate if someone joins my 1vs1 battles because the sologuy will usually have an advantage because of revenge mode (huge defence/damage boost and unlimited stamina + additional hp).
Mostly people **** up every fight if they join it instead of waiting for their turn.... the enemy even gets more points each kill when outnumbered.
... and btw... if you fight fair (let them finish 1vs1) your team gets a lot more points for that kill (fairfight, no matter if 1vs1 or 2vs2, nets your team additional points each kill).
... if you join you might get XP for an assist, but no additional points.
So keep calm and wait for your turn, so the chance is a lot higher you´ll have the advantage at the end and the fight will be easier for your teammate.
Why are people complaining about this? If you want 1v1, there's a mode for it.
The whole point of the multi-combatant modes is to be forced into playing to win quicker than your opponents so you can gain an advantage. It forces people out of their comfort zones and into a different set of tactics.
Do you insist on "no revives!" as well? Might as well if you're going to insist on polite dueling in a mode designed for beating your opponent quicker than the other guy so your team can gain that advantage.
The 2v2 is even called "Brawl" for FSM's sake. Ever been in an actual brawl? Believe me, there ain't no politely waiting around for people to 1v1 each other.
Don't get salty about getting ganged in these modes. It's part of the flavor of the mode. And occasionally, you'll get those spectacular comeback wins.

tbh in 4v4's I don't consider such things as honor. In 1v1 and 2v2 I do consider various honor codes but only if my opponent respects them as well. I've had too many battles in which I had to deal with 1v2's and lost because of that, and just because I was honorable when I didn't make it a 1v2 doesn't make it feel any better. You're trying to uphold some rules that are not in the game and are freely accepted or disregarded. Is it more fun to play according to the honor code? perhaps but I have had just as fun games without following the honor code.
