I agree that to get on Survival you need to pay, and so people that have paid have an advantage in gathering more Weekly Caches compared to those that haven't. This isn't entirely unfair though as the chances of getting exotics from Weekly Caches doesn't observe whether they came from DLC or non-DLC content, afaik.Originally Posted by Edea-XiaoLin Go to original post
I respectfully disagree with the fact that the Pve Survival isn't PVe just because once you are down, other PVE players can loot&kick you out of the session. Think about this, if you are running Underground, and you or your team wipe(s) you don't get anything...you are immediately transferred to the Terminal Operations-Center where you have to start all over again. At least on Survival, you are granted another "grace period" where you could have maybe a 50-50% chance to make it through, especially if you are running with teammates. Even if you are looted, you get back to the Terminal with some caches (albeit just 3-4 max) depending on how far you made it. As I have said in other posts, if I come across an unconscious agent I will probably loot him/her if we aren't extracting (if extracting, I can guarantee I will use my last medkit to revive him). And I am ok with the idea that the same could happen to me. I guess I find comfort in knowing that I was put down by NPCs because I was either too confident or careless and that at least all items/craftable stuff I gathered on my run won't go to waste. So to counter your claim...IMHO you weren't "killed" by players on survival PVE, you were killed by NPCs and put out of your misery by another fellow agent who needed your stuff to enhance his chances of success.
If anything, find relief on the fact that 1.6 won't allow this to happen, as on PVE Survival players wont be able to kill/loot agents anymore.

As far as I'm concerned I found the only useful Exotics on the PTS were the Hungry Hog (borderline) and those that can be bought, specifically Historian and Pakhan. I always considered the named gear pieces to be somewhat meh. oh sure Barretts is useful but it's not all that, certainly not worth the hundreds of Lex runs people have inflicted on themselves to get even one. Of the 8 toons I have (PC and PS4) only one runs with Barretts and on the PTS I didn't run a single build with at all, even though it could be gotten for free.
The one Exotic I am happy about is the Historian and that's only because it's such a beautifully modeled item and deserves being bought out of the shadow as it were.
Weekly caches will reward an Exotic item when Update 1.6 is released. Right now there are two sources of these weekly caches per character, one that is tied to the game overall and the other that is tied to Survival.
If you have weekly caches are plan on trying to build a small stock of them before the update, definitely hang on to them because they will drop an Exotic item in Update 1.6 even if you collect them before the patch.
I'm hoping to grab a Showstopper and Urban MDR on the few I have saved up.
