Lawbringers just need either A) A faster block stance change to give them better defensive options or B) More damage to punish the enemies when you manage to parry them. Right now he just isn't scary to fight because even his hardest hitting attack does roughly the same damage as a warden overhead heavy, which is much easier to hit with.Originally Posted by xXBagsXx Go to original post

So I'd like to preface this by saying that i am an average player, and that I do play orochi. I am neither too good or too bad with him, maybe a bit better than the average player but not by much. What I can say is that the orochi doesn't need a guardbreak nerf, nor does he need a nerf. the orochi is quick yes, but i get my *** handed to me by berserkers who use their combos to attack from multiple directions and then i'm stuck reacting and getting my *** handed to me. I've killed a fed, but the main point is that you just need to learn the games mechanics; onc ei did that i started to win a LOT more.
The only characters who need a nerf are the raider, warlord, and lawbringer, and it isn't even their damages; it's their carry moves (yes i know that the lawbringers is a zone attack).
In my opinion, if they want to go for a realistic fighting game, then it doesn't make sense (no matter how strong they are) that a person could lift, carry, push someone else along a speific distance without draining their stamina; even the strongest man in the world couldn't lift someone, in full armour and with a weapon, a significant distance without getting tired. So I think the only real nerf is to have any character who can 'carry' a player have their stamina be drained through the whole thing; make carrying/pushing someone a tatical choice, not a go-to option. I fully support the people who say 'just dodge and avoid it', but if they should hit you with it; whether by p2p connection or be luck/skill, they should have a fair stamina drain so that carrying people is tactical; conserve enough stamina so that they can still attack without becoming exhausted, not carry someone and still have almost all their stamina.
The orochi has a ton of ways to kill him, the best players are the ones who don't use spin to win, which for orochi and berserkers is a cheese and people who use it should be ashamed that they will get their favorite character patched because of overuse of a move (which will happen in any game, mind you, for over used weapons/skills). at the same time, these moves you can dodge away from and if you see it, do what orochi players do; react to the move, don't predict it. I have a friend who is a beast as a peacekeeper and his gripe about orochi and berserkers is the spin to win move, which sadly will make many players quit without their primary exploit mechanic, but that's irrelevant.
The main purpose of this game is for you to utilize every move you have in winning a fight; it's a skill based game; even those with higher gear scores can be slaughtered if you know how to use your character.
Bottom line: nerf the 'carry' attacks for some characters with a stamina drain and everyone else learn how to play against the characters you suck against.
IMO the Orochi isn't very good because the class is supposed to be a counter attacker but has nothing to pressure you into attacking. No bleed, no poison, no on demand unblock able, nothing. If the Orochi cant GB you they wont win unless you aren't paying attention to their feints. With nearly every other class you can pressure your opponent for force them into an unfavorable position (Warlord headbut spam, Conqueror shield charge, Warden charge, Valk shield crush, etc) these give you free attacks when you land them since you cant recover fast enough.
Wardens can do a lot of things good. Dodging however, is not part of it.Originally Posted by Liu_Long_Qua Go to original post
To DrExtrem, Nobushi is not that powerful to be honest. I main her a lot because I love her versatility. If you read move descriptions and watch the how to play vids, you would see it says specifically that once you inflict bleed, she will do MORE damage for EVERY attack that lands while bleed is inflicted. this is because her attacks are normally relatively weak and very slow to come out ESPECIALLY her heavy attacks. You'll see this when you fight someone like Lawbringer with high defense and a huge health pool. Put a peace keeper against Nobushi (or anyone really with peacekeepers speed) and she can body Nobushi before she can get off a single attack. Trust me I know because peacekeepers speed is OP, she can hit a Nobushi 2-3 times while a nobushi tries to attack back and will never get that hit off unless you get that range advantage back. Peace keeper can kill a nobushi before even running out of stamina, Nobushi is squishy AF! Eliminate the range advantage, Nobushi becomes straight dookie because her attack speed is slow and dodging is limited. What feels broken about a lot of characters is all the guaranteed hit ******** they gave so many people with Nobushi being one of them. That and characters abilities to spam unblockable guard breaks Like Nobushi and quite a few others. To me, those specific abilities bring a decent imbalance to the game. Granted some of it you can dodge if given the right window but with the whole P2P and never knowing how a connection will be, you'll most likely get caught in guardbreak cancer. But, being a Nobushi lover, her bleed does feel a tad op at times, especially when you can keep inflicting it with the R1 chain/ kick to R1 chain. If you cant counter it you are absolutely screwed.
Side step with their side steps so you can more easily predict the spin to win attacks off their side steps since it makes them near invincible when started lol. Watch for the forward dash leap attacks, but most importantly DONT BE OVERLY AGGRESSIVE! Berserkers are counter attackers so a good player will usually wait for you to attack and will A) side step R1 and start a combo chain B) block and guardbreak c) interrupt your attack by deflects and guard breaks. Fighting good berserkers you'll need to bait out attacks with fakes and mix ups. don't forget you can always start attack chains early to psyche people out, (even if I HATE fighting all Assassins (specially the peace keeper whose attack speed and overall speed is just unreal) so I made sure to play as them to learn attack speeds and against them to learn their gimmicks.
