Revert back to previous/earlier versions bc graphic issues + appcrash

Issue: The game ran fine until last few update/patch rounds. Haven't played in 3-5 months, so I'm not sure what update/patch caused this. Now the 'ubisoft bug' has ruined the game: animals are invisible, NPC's are invisible, own characters 'human parts' are invisible, thus rendering the game useless. So, now I have a game that updated itself to becoming an unplayable piece of junk.

The game crashes at random moments as well. Not completely random: if there is an area with high population density, the game crashes on loading. If it's an area with low amounts of NPC's, the loading works fine. Crashing is generating the following information:

This seems to be a driver issue, related to AMD cards. I have finished the game before, and back then, it ran fine. I want to go back to one of those version that did run fine.

Is there a way to revert back to the original version? Or any previous versions? If so, how do I do that?
My connection is pretty slow, so I want to be sure that re-installing and disabling automatic updates would do any good.

Is there any other way to fix this? Windows 8.1 and all of my drivers are up to date, there are no antivirus/firewall limitations, game runs as administrator.

Thank you in advance for your help. If there's any more information you need, please let me know.
    Have a wonderful day.

    Edit:
Game is re-installed with auto-updates disabled..
    Screenshots added, see below.

So, yeah. Am I going to need to pirate a patchless game or is there any way I can get the game 'as is' as it was just after launch date from ubisoft itself?

Before reaching out to Customer Support for technical help, did you try reverting back to an older version of your graphic card drivers?
Just to test if you get the same result ingame

GET AND RUN DDU and remove your AMD driver

    get it here http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html

try and install Install AMD 16.3.1 drivers

they were the last ones AMD corrected for Far Cry Primal

see this thread on the AMD SUPPORT Forums https://community.amd.com/thread/197594

if you need a link to get the older AMD Drivers go here ,,they have them all
    http://www.guru3d.com/files-categori...sta-win-7.html

if ya have any problem with any current AMD card and driver and a game .....PLEASE report it to AMD support

as thats the only way AMD can correct and FIX drivers ..from user crash reports they can duplicate , then issue a corrected driver , as they did with the 16.3.1 driver last year

like it says in the last post of that thread

If you are having a problem with your graphics card or a particular game...Please report it to AMD. Keep in mind that the more reports sent to the Catalyst engineers, the more attention paid. This is the only way things get fixed. Note that all issues must be reproducible (this is why specific information is required), and submitting a "Issue Report" is not a invitation to a dialog with AMD. Don't expect a reply. Just report it and encourage others to do the same.

i had game crashing too .. using that driver 16.3.1) totally fixed the problem .. i have since sold my AMD Graphics card (R 9 380 X) , and went to the green team (nvidia) due to sloppy AMD driver support in several of my older games

AMD is more concerned now about DX 12 bench marks ..rather then SOLID drivers it seems .. and its a shame <--- just my opinion

Thanks WID992007 for helping me! Online credits for you ;-)

Using older drivers causes other games to crash or run terribly slow. I had to update the driver to the latest version, because otherwise AC Syndicate and many other games just don't run.
I don't want to have just 1 game to play, and spend 2 hours waiting for driver installs when I want to switch games. It's a hassle.

I'm starting my way up from driver version 15.30 (FC primal works, but game crashes and is terribly slow), and I'll just update the drivers until I can't run the game anymore. Then go back to the latest version that did work.

I want to be sure as well, that this isn't another Uplay issue; last week a Uplay update caused all my games to run like crap (framerate dropped to 2fps). A day later a new update came out that fixed the problem (80fps). Do (any of) you know how I can cancel out if it's Uplay related? I just want to fix one problem at the time, and not be dealing with multiple things interfering with solving the issue.

I can't be sure if this time that it isn't uplay-related again. After restarting my pc, uplay has reverted to all 'standard' settings (enabling overlay, showing news and popups that I disabled long ago). So there's something wrong there as well..

As for humble opinions: I have over 60 games in my library, and I spend over 60 hours troubleshooting every year. 97,5% of that troubleshooting is directly related to Uplay or Ubisoft games. In 90% of the cases, the solution is not mentioned on ANY ubisoft forum or anything ubisoft related.
I know AMD isn't the best at what they do, shame on them, but they do some things at least OK. I can't defend ubisoft with a straight face in any way. I just want to play games, I don't want to become a computer technician through troubleshooting my day away every time I get a new ubi game. AMD might be part of the problem, I might be too, but the trend that nearly all of my troubleshooting is related to ubi is kind of outrageous.

I'll keep you guys posted on if - and how - I can find a workable fix.

    Thanks again WID992007!

    i never tried this but

you should be able to reinstall the game and uncheck the option to keep the game up to date right in uplay let me look

have you checked to see if your game downloaded and installed the HD texture pak

umm yea thats gonna IMPACT your performance alot ..dont use it uninstall that

ok i found the HD pack

open uplay look to see if you installed the Ultra HD texture pak

when ya click on far cry Primal select overview..see if the HD texture pak is installed ..mines NOT .. i tried it but it made my GTX 960 Crawl

    so i removed it

but yea that could cause your game to slow down ALOT ..see if you can just uninstall it in Uplay .. pretty sure thats what i did when it came out and i tried it

i bought Primal as a Uplay only version .. if you have your game on steam in steam check your DLC tab in steam

since anything ya buy on steam , steam handles all your DLC and files

to check your DLC in steam select your game in your library

right click on it ..select properties ..then the DLC tab , to see whats installed

also yes there is an option in Uplay as well as Steam that you can stop a game from downloading any updates

but most likely your issue is the far cry Primal Ultra HD texture pak or Drivers

to run with that far cry Primal ultra HD texture pak installed your gonna need a damn powerful GPU that has alot of vid memory or SLI or crossfire i think .. as yea my STRIX GTX 960 could not perform well with it installed in 1080 P ..so i removed it .....and my game ran normal again

i also did not install that pak on my other system that has an AMD GPU in it , as i knew it could not handle it if my GTX 960 was not gonna

    - HD textures pack -> not installed, never downloaded.
    - All drivers after version 15.3 do not work for FC Primal. Driver version 15.3 was from 2015. FC primal came out in 2016. In all AMD-update logs, there are 0 mentions about far cry primal.
    - Automatic updates -> are disabled, but the game still patches up to version 1.3 according to the readme.txt in the far cry primal folder
    - Uplay automatic updates -> cannot be disabled.

I have redeemed the game with a Uplay code, so Steam is not involved in this case.
HD texture pack is not used, not downloaded and not on my PC.

I remember why I deleted far cry primal in the first place; it was because it didn't work anymore after patching to 1.3.
Uplay keeps changing my settings to 'automatic updates enabled'. So there's another issue.

Problem still exists, with no hope for a change. Can ubisoft support tune in, and maybe give some advice?
I want to play this game, version 1.2. How do I do that?

Issue has been reported at AMD support.

just tested here with the current version (uplay only version )

    on my old systems

    with AMD driver 15.7.1

works with Win 10 home as well as Win 7 Ultimate

the Desktop card i used was an HIS AMD 5770 1 gig PCI card vid settings on Normal

also tested my sapphire HD HD 7750 1 gig card vid settings on normal

the game works fine in 1440 X 900

also tried on my AMD laptop win 10 home version ..same driver (15.7.1 ) AMD A 10 APU with HD 8650 G graphics ..settings on LOW in 720 P ..game works as expected for my low end laptop GPU

what Graphics card are you running ?

keep in mind AMD dropped driver support for many older GPU's in 2015 15.7 is the final WHQL driver for many older cards

    https://betanews.com/2015/11/24/amd-kills-gpu/

and remember UBI used older drivers to test this game

see the read me that installed with your game in the support folder

AGAIN what AMD graphic chip or card ... do you have? .. if you have a laptop .. and the game runs at all ....consider your self LUCKY

many laptops do not have a decent enough AMD GPU to run this game at all

laptop onboard video chips run at low clocks speeds with very limited memory bandwidth.. as well as a Slower memory bus speed , since they use shared DDR 3 system ram

    Supported Video Cards at Time of Release: AMD Radeon™ HD 5770 (1 GB VRAM) or better, HD 7000 / 200 / 300 / Fury X series, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460 (1 GB VRAM) or better, GTX 500 / 600 / 700 / 900 / TITAN series

Note: Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT officially supported.< -------

and many later AMD chip past the HD 5770 also suffer too see this page and compare your GPU hardware wise to an AMD HD 5770

    http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video.htm

remember your GPU needs to be better then an AMD HD 5770 (hardware wise)

as in pixel shader count and memory bandwidth..and yea the game runs better on a HD 5770 then it does and HD 7750 ... due to that
