I'm asking this because I still don't get how blocking works. Sometimes you take dmg even while blocking, sometimes you don't. Sometimes when you block you stagger and lose your footing, and sometimes when you attack with a light or heavy attack your strike gets blocked and your weapon gets thrown across the freaking map.
Can someone explain why this happens? What determines why or why not your weapon will either hit through their block or get shot out from their block and throw you for a ride as well?
And I'm not talking about parrying, I'm talking about blocking, a normal block, holding the stick/mouse in a direction and taking an attack from that direction.
