Gear Stats, what do they do???

So we have all the fancy Gear stats, but no explanation what they actually do! There are some obvious like Block Damage resistance or attack, but some I just don't understand. It could be because I'm not native English, so an explanation or an in depth guide would be much appreciate. Maybe we can collect the one we know for shure, so I can edit this post and we get a good guide if there isn't already one.

    Arms give:

    Block Damage resistance
    Revive speed
    Stamina regen

    Chests give:

    Helms give:

    Debuff resistance
    Revenge mode duration
    Exhaustion recovery

    Weapon piece 1:

    Feat cooldown reduction
    Revenge mode defense
    Revenge gain by defense

    Weapon piece 2:

    Attack
    Defense
    Stamina cost reduction

I'd like to know what "defense" on the weapon means. Does it mean it'll have an easier time switching to different block directions? will it simply mean that I take less damage when hit? I don't know.

I thought that was rather obvious and self explanatory already. Here i was hoping someone managed to decipher the numerical values hiding behind the bars.
