Slight issues with the micro transactions..

My key issue is why didn't you guys make microtransaction currency separate like in R6?
The current issue is this... people can keep dumping RL money for steel, to buy scavenge packs, to dismantle or get better gear.
This pretty much sets them to be able to continuously upgrade no? To me thats a slight advantage and a bit over cosmetic, vs. those who play.

So I'd say either greatly increase steel you get per match, everywhere.. Or make a separate currency for cosmetic.
Unless I have this wrong, which is possible.

I'm definitely not against microtransactions for cosmetic, although the price of this game + price of season pass + lack of dedicated servers makes me wonder why the hell I should pay for anything extra, but my issue lies in the game mechanics with it.

The thing is, you only recieve items appropriate for your level. You only get standard gear at level 1-20, at Reputation 1 you can start getting rare gear, and at Reputation 3 you can start getting legendary gear. To get good gear you still need to invest time in leveling up a character. Also, the matchmaking takes into account the gear level people are at and attempts to match you with similarly geared players.

Yeah I know gear level depends on rep but still, that's going to separate people by cash they can put in too yanno? Sure everyone can level at a rate, but someone who drops in another 50 is gonna have a lot better chances to upgrade gear.. Thats still an issue for me at least. It would have been better to have separate currencies.

Gear has max levels and they also have penalties. Getting gear maxed out vs its base isnt much of a difference either. And the steel gain is quite fair (if you can actually manage to play). Currently sitting on 9.7k steel and 12 crates. Dont intend to spend anything until I hit Rep 1.

Righht I know all this and maybe it is just me that sees an issue. That's still a lot more saving someone would have to do vs. someone else who could just come in and drop cash. I know how the gear works, Ive been here in the betas. I was just honestly expecting them to have a different currency for micro stuffs. Regardless on what you intend or dont intend to spend, its still a way for someone to get their stuff a lot quicker, and more variety of builds.
RL Cash should always only exchange to Cosmetic in these games, nothing more. But that's my opinion I suppose lol. We will have to agree to disagree.
