I recently made a thread about the LB on the suggestions and feedback subforum. This is it:
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...less-right-now
Check it out. But in summary, the LB's attacks are so ridiculously slow that any heroe can easily stop him from ever attacking just by doing light attacks. Even the shugoki, which is as slow as him, can dominate him thanks to his super armor, which honestly said super armor should belong to the LB since he looks like a walking fortress. However, main thing are his parries, since his attacks are focused on the parries. There is ONE incredibly big issue: he CANT follow up the parry with an attack because the enemy fully recovers and is able to block/attack before the LB is even able to attack after the parry, which makes parries completely useless.
As i said on my other thread, attempting to do a heavy attack is like wating for Goku to finish charging his spirit bomb. Seriously, ALL HEROES are completely able to stop him from doing a heavy attack just by doing a light attack EVEN IF THEY ARE OUT OF STAMINA. That's how slow it is.
The LB needs a rework from scratch.
you do know that the lawbringer's top light is one of the fastest attacks in the game, right? Also you're completely ignoring his control kit. Can't consider this well thought out or constructive criticism. The lawbringer needs some tweaks, i agree, but a total rework? no. His core mechanics are solid, he just needs to be brought up to spec so we can use them effectively.
Don't you think there something completely wrong with a character who's only effective attack is ONE light attack that does little to no damage? Nothing else works with him due to how slow he is. His stamina also runs out like crazy and his health is utter crap. The guy looks like a walking fortress but has the health and stamina of an anorexic depressed woman.Originally Posted by Umngyr Go to original post
But now let's talk about the fact that he is listed as a counter attacker BUT NONE OF HIS COUNTER ATTACK MOVES WORK. Do you seriously consider that's how it's supposed to be? By parrying he is punishing himself since he leaves himself wide open for a long enough time for the enemy to fully recover from the parry and attack the guy before he can even follow up with the attack of his supposed counter attack combo.
To be fair, if he parries light attacks he does have a good follow up, but if you can parry light attacks consistently then you really don't need that little bit of extra damage. His shove could be good if light attack follow ups from it were faster so you could at least mix people up. By shoving them you surrender the rythm to them, so if the follow up isn't insanely fast it will get parried... but alas.Originally Posted by SpringReborn Go to original post
Agree, conceptually I like where he is at, but he fails on execution. His range is lame for a guy with a polearm, his attacks are too slow not to be avoided, and his counters are too slow not to be avoided. Its like they pre-nerfed him because he looks mean or something, but they gimped him. Also his stamina drops faster than Shugokis sometimes and for far less effect. Its a shame, he looks cool, and I like the idea of his shove and parry defenses, but they way gimped him.
