I am glad that this thread is receiving a fair amount of attention. This is the first thread that I have ever created and have been very pleased with the results. This mechanic is a topic that my friends and I have talked about since the closed beta. I hope everybody that participates in this discussion continues to be respectful of other peoples opinions. For those who don't understand the third option in the poll, it is just a meme and choosing the third option is the same as the second option (widening the window.)

Careful about widening that window. I would rather it be too hard to break then too easy. Currently, once you get the mechanics down, you can really throw up a wall of a defense which makes hitting someone incredibly difficult. Guardbreak is your only hope to open that up with many characters. Even so, if I am ready, you will never guard break me. If you widen that window, I cannot imagine the horrors that would ensue.
For me, it is fine exactly where it is. My only issue, is you see guard breaks that are triggered AFTER yours that win and they get a free guard break where you can't deflect them.
If 2 people go for guard break, the guy who goes first should win, or you should bounce off one another as a reset. The guy who goes late should NEVER win that encounter and currently it is in their favor. Very annoying.

I don't like the fact it allows GB to be spammed especially from outside your main encounter....but you can't spam back a counter guard break? Because it locks you in a fail. This is very silly. I went from countering guard breaks 90% of the time to not even 50% of the time currently and that is very frustrating. Especially when up against multiples since of course the outside man is trying to spam guard break to open you up for the main person who is in front of you to hit you.
It would be nice if they removed the ability to break someone's guard if that character is on the outskirts. (sorry assassins but that crap is annoying) or heavily penalize them with stamina decreases each time they attempt it.
I mean if they keep the window where it is now...they shouldn't be prioritizing people outside of 1 vs 1 for the guard breaking. I'd be fine with getting guard broken by the main and the outskirt people hitting me. Thats fine at least I know I messed up then instead of....oh I'm locked out cause I went to guard break the main person and now a sitting duck for the entire gang....
