[PC]Steam Purchase - CD Key problems | Forums

Hey there
I have preordered for Honor on PC over steam and have successfully downloaded and verified it today.
Whenever I launch the game however, a Uplay window opens itself asking me to insert a CD activation code.
I was not provided with such a code from steam.



It seems as if I am not the only one with this problem. I have read about a few cases on the steam forums. Some people managed to fix it by restarting their steam client- that however did not work for me.

Here is a list of things I have tried to do to fix it (Ill update this):

- Restart Steam Client
- Restart PC
- Restart Uplay
- Reinstall Uplay
- Verify game files on steam
- (even) added Uplay to exceptions on my anti virus software
- cried
(edit)- Launched steam and uplay as an administrator [fixed]
