Admittedly I only got a few rounds in early this morning however I did not have the punishment problems you all seem to be experiencing. Give it a week before we all decide it doesn't work, I was chaining and executing quite well with the shoves and heavies, which do more than adequate damage.

I'm not saying you all are wrong but let's not be hasty and judge characters day 1.

I played Closed Alpha, Closed Beta and Open Beta extensively so I'm not some crazy noob saying this stuff, everyone just seems to want everything to be easy when it's listed as a "Hard" class to learn. Give it some time, learn the spacing, learn the timing, see how the tools work together and perhaps his power will be revealed.
Dude, add "Carl566" on uPlay and I'll show you. You can play the Lawbringer all rounds. I will play all my other heroes and beat your *** with a whoopin'

Then, for the last round, I'll also play the Lawbringer, and maybe one bringer of crappy laws can at least win...

Im a Viking Zerker by heart but since release I have almost only played LB. Gotta say I love the class.

Yes he has issues but still not sure if thats me being bad or the class. I just wanted to state that even in a match vs 4 Orochi I managed to be top player with most takedowns and least deaths. And seriously Im not very good in this game.

Have I been playing bad players the whole night? Sure thats possible. But even then a true broken class shouldnt be able to withstand them.

Theres some excellent players out there that think the Lawbringer is one of the better heroes (49:20), so don't worry about what the people on this forum say. In fact, people are complaining about the Lawbringer so much that its in your best interest to get great at the character since they'll probably buff him. Mark my words though, when that buff comes people will immediately scream OP.

After playing more I've finally found a groove with Lawbringer and I'm willing to admit my initial impressions were wrong. He's definitely shaping up for me now.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I still think he needs some tuning for his punishment things (like changing his parry>side heavy away from a slow charge into an actual attack that can punish people) but other than that, I think he's pretty decent. Definitely more complex than any other character, but he's rewarding to play.

Please tell me how to get better, ran into some Wardens last night that took me for a ride, sorry for the bad language.

Mind telling me your secret? How do you deal with defensive assassins? How do you find someone who doesn't just stand here and goes into a feinting mindagme with you? How do you touch a good PK without parrying her lights and zones on reaction? How do you keep the pressure up when they can dash away or dash around an obstacle to regain stamina? What does LB do better than any other character?

this guy seems to play it pretty well, he plays defensively and shoves alot until his opponent is out of stamina, then punishes with the toss or heavies. from what i see the character has alot of HP, alot of range, alot of control/CC options. If you buff his speed he just becomes too overpowered.

You're a tank hybrid. Block everything. You have a block/shove ability. Use it alot. Dont give up guardbreaks. You need to be on your A-Game when it comes to that. Be impenetrable. Weather the storm, and then charge in w/ dash GB's and light attacks when they are low in stam. Rinse and repeat.

LB makes you become a master at blocking and parrying. More so than other classes b/c our class is built around it. Know when to parry, don't risk it on a quick light attack. Use it on a heavy attack, eat away some of their stam and make them pay. You have enough health (esp if you stack defense/block damage resistance) to take nearly no damage from light attacks.

LB isn't a class meant to attack so if you're playing a likeminded defensive player use your long arm and shoves. Don't be afraid to throw a rando feint/ heavy attackout there either.
