I played him a lot (Prestige 1+) in the "beta period" he was in, and he defto feels weaker now than he was back then. I'm not saying "I was an uber pr0 with him and I was roflstomping everyone", but I got some results. Now I only beat people with him if I face total newbie, or if my enemy ****s up so I can throw him off he map, because the whole character is just so damn slow Not to mention the ridicoulus stamina issue he has...
Also there is a bug (of which I started a different topic) which didn't seem to be present in the beta, but hinders the character further.

In the meanwhile Shoguki can oneshot you from 50-100% HP, Orochi dodges everything, and Nobushi is so fast and far away that you can barely do something anything against her.

So yeah, good job Ubisoft at "working on him for balance porpuses". I'm really hoping for a mega-****ing-fast balance patch.

Versatile weapon range? He's actually medium range
Battlefield control? Worse than Warlord, Conqueror, Raider and Shugoki
Unstoppable pushback? So do Warlord, Conqueror, Nobushi, Valkyrie and Warden, and all of theirs chain into a hit confirm and one can be 50/50d. Theirs are also faster and dodging Warlord, Conqueror or Warden's doesn't grant the enemy a free guard break
Incredibly fast top light? Not really, it's a little bit slower than the warden's - wholly reactable and very short range and weak damage
Top Heavy stun? Can only land it off a wall stun or the special combo out of a parried light (which rarely seems to actually work due to how long it takes to switch guard stance), and has nothing decent to follow it with
Unblockable chain? You mean parry bait

He has incredible risk built into his kit and very weak rewards.
I agree, but I think top heavy isn't actually even guaranteed after wall stun. It's not guaranteed from a parry either.

I love his "I lost' emote. Banging his helmet against the polearm. This makes him enjoyable for 2v2 vs. AI brawls.

So I am somewhat suprised of all the backlash. Im a Alpha CB OB player but this was first time I got to play Lawbringer.

First I thought Good God he is slow. Losing all practice duels even against slow characters like warlord and shugo. But then I changed playstyle. And he is still hard in 1vs1 but very powerfull carry in dominion. But im learning quite quick now at 50% win in duels.
Honestly i think he is the first true hard character to master

Maybe he sucks because the USER SUCKS
    OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SH1T
    RRRRRRRRRRROASTED BTCH
check out cartoonz's video and try to say he's bad.
Also, he is slow because his armor is OPAF.

Couldn't figure out how to post or if I could post an image but one of my first games using the lawbringer was a dominion game, with 2 other lawbringers and a bot. We won handedly.

Nailed it! Seriously, though, I did attempt the Lawbringer last night for a few hours and, damn, is he slow! That's pretty much my main problem with him. His attacks are like he's in slow motion. It doesn't help that his chains and combos make use of a heavy attack, either, because his heavy takes what seems like ~2 seconds to pull off. I was in a couple games where there was a Lawbringer that was dominant and couldn't quite figure out how he/she was doing it.

I keep seeing this posted, while I didn't check i'm sure it's more posts from you you little fanboy.

I've seen that video. His opponents flat out suck. They aren't parrying what should be obvious, they don't learn to counter that one combo that the Lawbringer can pull off at this point. There's no way he should be doing that well, if they had half a brain he would have been constantly out of stamina from the sheer amount of parry denial they'd give him.

Just because one youtuber shows a video of him performing decently with the class against select opponents doesn't mean that the hero doesnt have problems, in this case it means his opponents actually suck more than the class itself does.

Furthermore cartoonz only/mostly plays against heavy/slow classes that can't really dash or zip around. On big and slow heroes (who will not dash) he can connect one light, heavy and then follow up with an unblockable or simply do a heavy+unblockable if the first hit connects.

But any Warden, Peacekeepers, Valkyries, Berserkers, Warlords, Nobushis, Orochis or Kenseis can dodge and parry, too.
