Question. I used to be able to buy "Named Weapons" at the advanced weapon vendor at the main Hub. (The Post Office) But now it looks like all those named weapons are gone and the only way to pay for them are with "Phoenix Credits" and I very rarely find myself only saving up enough of those to Roll My Weapons. Meaning I'll never have around 17k-24k to purchase those weapons. Has any one else notice this at all??
Thank You.
In 1.6 the Phoenix cap is going to 5000 and the named stuff will become exotic weapons. The probable price point is 1300. I don't remember exactly but it was in that range.
If you are 256gs, you should be able to run daily HVT solo. This provides a lot of bird bucks. Either soloing HVT weekly or grouping up if needed provides even more.
With that said though, I am, as many are, sitting on ~500 million in the basic money. They had to do something as this is another fairly serious design flaw. With 500 million, 2 million DZ funds and constant Phoenix cap - there has been almost no reason to care about loot or money. There is nothing to buy and no reason to scrap or sell. The next step after that is not playing the game.
I did lots of 1.6 testing and I hope they get it right before they release the patch. We will see. Week 4 was still horribly buggy and the meta change and nerfs are going to shock most people who didn't play PTS.
Yo Ranger_Vet68, there's still some weapons you CAN buy for normal credits. Cassidy, Centurion and Pakhan can be bought still at the advanced weapons vendor in the BoO. If I were you I'd grab a couple of each before 1.6 hits because THEN you'll be unable to buy them with regular credits.
Also, FYI, there's going to be a cap on recalibration costs (Hoooooray!!) and if you really need PCs I'd suggest farming Lex or if you're lucky enough to find a good group farm Clear Skies as that yields 350PCs per run and it can be done, with a good group and using a mic, in less than 10 minutes.
I don't run a lot of either (Lex or CS) but if you are on Xbox feel free to add me and I'll help you run those places a few times for a quick thousand PCs in way under an hour.
