i bought the digital gold edition and havent received any of the contentOriginally Posted by BeeJay723 Go to original post
I bought the Collector's Edition, and didn't even get the game. Game, season pass, and pre-order bonuses were not in the box. Only the helmets, soundtrack, and lithograph were in there. I had to buy the digital standard edition just so I could play with my friends. I'm $190 invested into For Honor right now, and I hope Ubisoft responds to my 4 day old support ticket I submitted.
So I've heard that you can buy steel and It'll unlock everything.....I tried this and all it did was give me the steel. Still none of the DLC content promised on the Gold EditionOriginally Posted by Mr.StoneCold Go to original post
any news on this? its been almost a weekOriginally Posted by Ubi-Stature Go to original post
Here's my story. Finally got Amazon Prime to deliver my XB1 gold edition two days after release day, so I joined the issue party late. Expecting the initial game install to take hours, but was pleasantly surprised that it breezed through only to find out that all of the useful gold DLC was missing (champion status and crates), so I opened a case with Ubisoft after following the guide saying "here's how to find your items navigating the confusing menus"...
Not having the champion status available for the first week of play was awful. I dedicated that week and used personal vacation to try to grind my character and ended it with a measly gear score of 9 with a reputation of 1. I didn't get any rare items until I troubleshot the issue using additional currency beyond that already spent purchasing the most expensive edition of this game.
Ubisoft finally got back to me today, and they had the audacity to give me those same links on how to look for the DLC. *face slap*
I continued to have this same issue through yesterday until I read a post by a user claiming that, if a person with missing content makes any other currency based in-game purchase, all missing items related to the gold edition DLC will be restored. Having waited sufficiently for response on my case, I bought the smallest pack of steel available (for $4.99 plus tax), and it did, in fact, resolve my issue. The links that Ubisoft provided, much like the goggles, do nothing. If they reviewed my added comments, I did my best to clearly articulate that I checked for all of the in-game content, and it was missing from the specified locations. Again, only making an in-game purchase OF ADDITIONAL CONTENT restores the missing DLC. My missing DLC was:
Missing from season pass:
1. Three scavenger crates that unlock additional gear [Available at launch]
2. 30-Day Champion Status
3. Six elite outfits to customize the new heroes
Missing from Deluxe Pack:
4. 7 days of Champion Status
5. 2 premium scavenger packs
Being the morally upstanding and dapper fellow that I am, I disclosed how I was able to fix my own issue and invest even more money into the already pricey edition (so QA in Ubisoft means I had to self-upgrade to CAN HAZ PLATINUM EDISHUNZ). Cats aside, I asked Ubisoft if any sort of compensation was pending, and they basically ignored this and said that "they were glad that the issue was resolved... Happy gaming warrior ; good luck on the battlefield!." Happy gaming? Quite the contrary. I am pretty salty now. After I get bored with the release, I am going to be rather wary of picking up any future Ubisoft titles.
Shady business practices aside, the lack of customer service is deplorable, and I feel strongly that an example should be made... so, now, I gotta try to read into class action lawsuits. To me, they are like magnets. I don't get how they work.
Oh yeah, so be wary of fixing your own issue because Ubisoft is going to take full advantage of it.
