Glad to hear that you've been able to resolve your download speed issues, Martios_12!

Should anyone still be having issues, do let us know so that we can investigate further with you. Thank you!

    Hi

I tried it all, run as admin, no firewall etc.
No changes. Also with the slider trick.

Downloads keep at 6.6ms/s, even though I do have a 1GBIT down/up internet connection.

In Origin from EA or Steam I download with roughly 80-100mb/s!!!

This is so annoying. How can I make the downloads faster? It's a Uplay Client issue, for sure.

    Thanks

I have tried everything in this thread and the speed has continued to vary from 0 to 253 kB/s, averaging less than 100 kb/s and showing instability. At present the average time for installation seems to be 36 hours. I have had it tell me it will install in 48 minutes and as far up as 6 days 17 hours.

My internet is hardwired and running at 35 Mb/s, or 4.375 MB/s with this process being the only data stream occurring.

It seems to me that the solutions delivered in this thread may solve the problem for some but are unreliable. The variability sounds like a server time slot issue which would mean there is not sufficient server capacity for the demand. Given the consistency of the issue over a long period of time it might be worthwhile to increase delivery capacity. There may also be an issue with maintenance processes.

It is discouraging to spend a significant amount of funds to acquire a software package that has already taken half a day to get a quarter of the way through. Without a fix for this I am, as I am sure others are, sure to take pause when considering future purchases.

I recommend escalating this up the chain, identify it as a medium to high risk, and start to survey it from UbiSoft's end as to whether or not its your servers down throttling and what the cause is for it. If you really need it I can do a QA survey of the whole situation. You may have already lost a portion of the customer base to this issue.

After about 7 hours the system throttled up to 7.3 MB/s. As there have been no changes on my side, that is almost surely a server side issue.

Out of curiosity, xeneric, have you yet opened a support case with us for this issue? If so, can you please provide me with the case reference number?

Additionally, have you contacted your ISP at any time to check if there are any restrictions in place on their end that could be impacting your download speed? Would you mind also telling me the name of your ISP, and where you are currently located?

I apologise for the inconvenience caused by these issues with Uplay PC, SureOverlord. As above, did you yet open a support case with us for this issue? If so, can you please provide me with the case reference number?

You've mentioned in your post that you believe this could be linked to capacity at the time of use. Do you say this because you have noticed that your download speeds are higher at particular times of day?

If so, this could be linked to limitations on the side of your ISP, and I'd recommend contacting them to check if they do note any particular "peak" hours for usage. Then, bearing those hours in mind, could you let us know if you see corresponding changes in the download speed offered by Uplay PC? As above, would you mind also telling me the name of your ISP, and where you are currently located, just so I can see if there are any trends in these reports?

I do appreciate your concerns and rest assured should we find there to be a widespread issue, we'll investigate it.

I took a internet speed test and my speed is 292mbps but uplay is downloading at 128kB/s for every download, even there's only one game downloading

Hello spanak2k19, is "128kB/s" the figure displayed inside Uplay PC, or are you looking at another tool, such as Task Manager? Additionally, are you using a wireless or a wired connection? How many devices do you have connected to this network? Have you completed any of the connectivity / technical troubleshooting previously provided?

So for some reason the download speed was set automatically at 128kBps but I just changed it and it worked. It might sometimes change itself or there's another problem. That's what the problem was for me so you should try it. Btw you don't drag the circle to change the speed, you click on the bar.
